Played this new GREAT map yesterday, in complete forest camo, Liberator Carbine & shotgun pistol, without knowing the map first.. With 3 random and pretty new Helldivers.. i felt like i LIVED on the planet and it was AWESOME, props to the divers by my side. And WELL DONE ArrowHead, AWESOME MAP..
Really wish we could customize missions. I’d love to do one with this biome with only hunting stalkers, but also having no map available or an ion storm for maximum pain.
We're basically learning some of the lessons they did in Nam and other heavy forested battlefields. Personal weapons that you can carry, aim, and shoot yourself are more reliable than calling in air support...aside from maybe napalm. The other thing is artillery. Grab those 380mm artillery salvos and the like because those will just flatten the area.
@@demonofwar1155 could have been me Yesterday, called it on a Charger Brute, threw a Stun nade and we both stood Back to watch it Blow up, to get blasted from the Tree above us. Should have clipped that Szene If i knew how
8:52 "--A new massive planetary hazard that was jungle themed" Carnivorous vines and/or plants. Vines would grip and slow and damage you if you walk under them (unfurling from above and trying to drag the player up into the tree it's hanging from). Carnivorous plants akin to the Venus Flytrap or Pitcher plant would remain somewhat camouflaged and when triggered would cause the player to fall inside them to digest (pitcher plant) or it would snap on them and kill them (slowly). Players could be freed if another player shoots the flytrap, or be assisted up out of the pitcher plant. For flytrap and vines, players lose the ability to aim their gun, instead able to shoot in a small angle determined by the plant. Flytrap would give you a small vertical window to shoot bugs off of you as you're killed, vines would allow you to swing around ~120 degrees to shoot in front of you.
I like the new biome but, calling it the new Malevelon Creek is a bit much. MC was infamous not just for it's jungles but, for the endless onslaught of bots with little to no help from the majority of the community. It made trying to take the planet a nightmarish uphill battle and until bug can get sufficiently difficult enough to make that happen idk if any bug planet could be called the new Malevolon Creek
I doubt they will ever increase the difficulty of bugs because most casuals play exclusively bugs because they cant even handle 7bots. Flammethrower + M1 is literally the selution to all bugs problems besides Biletitans.
visually this planet might be the best but if you don’t have the satellite side object done or don’t have it at all it’s def more difficult to find loot sites because the huge trees and their roots
2:03 Thought I was the only one getting lost WITH the map. Every other planet I know where I am at all times and how far my squad is, but this one I don't know what's past 60 meters.
I love the enviroment of this planet so much. It really feels quite different from the rest of the maps in a way no other level manages to scratch The trees catching airstrikes and orbitals is a big bummer tho
I think they need to rework the airstrikes, support weapon and sentry drops to be "more smart" like it really sucks when a weapon or sentry lands on top of a mountain or something and cant do anything or when a airstrike just sends it into the side of a tree or mountain. If things were smarter where they landed or attacked it would be nice
I really like the map a lot, but, one thing I noticed personally is the drop in frames when killing a bunch of bugs in an area. Especially when using the flamethrower.
The New Biome is interesting, but it needs some optimizations of walking paths and map generation. We found titans who couldn't leave parts of the woods, and we couldn't get into one part of the map
As a Creek Crawling vet of Melevelon Creek, I can say that until Gracux gets bots constantly sending volley upon volley of blaster, rocket, and flamers there is nothing that can compare to it, much less surpass it, call me biased, but the bug planets got nothing on the western front
Atmospheric spores sucks in this biome because it makes it harder to navigate through the trees. Spore spewers and shriekers nests can no longer be destroyed from miles away due to ask the trees and looking for them with the spore modifier is a chore. Patrols with nursing spewers really help to hide their numbers. Even chargers become a bigger threat since you can't see where they're charging from.
Actual Space-Vietnam; the Stalkers are near impossible to spot when it rains (imagine if they climbed the trees). My only complaints are that the rain quality isn't too good, and that my stratagems (gas strikes) often hit the top of trees. Still, I love the aesthetic of it and prefer this over any other planet.
I've experienced alot of issues with side objectives, it'll have it cleared on the map if someone has completed it but it'll still show it not destroyed like a shrieker nest but one tip I can give with the jet pack is the smaller trees you can get into. I've layed down on a branch to snipe but not alot of mobility unless you're crouched in the center of the tree.
Yea me too. I love the look, but I quit playing this biome after 2 games on ps5 on level 9, it was below 20 fps on performance mode and lag of picking up stuff like samples was at least a second. Tried a different host/game but same result.
I joined a 3 men squad here. One left, the other guy was a rookie, and the 3rd guy was crying. 😂 We managed to get the mission done and they all left.😂
Amazing biome. The only drawback is the FPS drop...while I can get over 80fps in pretty much any planet @ 1080p, this one frequently drops from 60 into the mid 50's.
I think it’d be cool if they added a native species to some of these planets. Be cool if there was something Ewok adjacent to add some environmental hazards
reasons why i prefer this... Stalkers are seen last second on your peripheral corners... Shrieker nests are harder to destroy shooting through trees wished they used more trees in the heavy nests... wished they had bigger tree trunks for holes to fit in.. so you get to destroy both the hole and trunk.... what i want more is more DARKER DAAAARKER NIGHT TIME campaign... make it a daaaaamn horror movie setting.... PITCH BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS!!!!!!
This environment could also alleviate bots most annoying aspect (aside from bugging and shooting through walls). Accuracy in tandem with volume of fire and range due to very long un broken sightlines. Shit tonne of trees to hide behind. Lot's of place to duck and dive to get a flank.
I swear to God I remember seeing a crystal biome in some of the early media for the game, but for the life of me I CAN NOT find it. It was like a field of giant multicolered geode like crystals, there was also an insane amount of lightning in the sky
9:00 not sure what happen whether if it was a bug or good timing but as I was traveling in my mech fighting for my life against a hordes of bug and few charger and bile Titan a tree broke next to me as a bile Titan walk through it and it landed directly on me and exploded me inside.
I’m still hoping for biome that is remnant of a super city and hopefully even one day we get to fight rebel humans 😂 but for real seeing bots and bugs in the streets of a destroyed metropolis would be epic
Wow, I cannot wait for Urban Biomes!!!... I will play whatever difficulty to play the raise the flag mission... I want to feel I'm actually Spreading Democracy not just to single trailer on a hill...lol
