Awesome! Glad to hear! I was about to purchase a matte black one as well since it looked pretty stealth and clean! It has the same reflective capabilities as the white one so it should be p visible on those long rides that start early/end late. And I wish! Scotland is defo on my list once borders open up and iso is lifted :)
You’re going to love it! Also just looked that ride up and looks epic. And defo going to add that to the travel itinerary once things become less hectic in the world 🙏
I was looking at the Align II as a more affordable option to the expensive sibling S-works Evade. I'm concerned about the glasses placement (did you check with other glasses? did it get better) and also the weight - does it feel heavy? My current helmet (Mavic Aksium Elite) weights only 245g, so about 100g less than this one!). What's your veredict in general now after 2 months? By the way I think it would be cool if you made more videos :)
@@kilianpourtau4172 hi! I can't speak for the Align II but I've been using the Aksium Elite for 4 years. I crashed in it in 2018 and ended up buying it again using Mavic's crash replacement policy. I recently bought a new helmet though, because there were two points that I was not satisfied with: 1) my glasses kept falling off if I'd put them into the holes and lean forward (e.g. to put on my shoes) and 2: the tightening system that goes behind the head is quite low also over the side of the head so my glasses when I was wearing glasses were interfering with that plastic piece. So the glasses either had to go on top or below the plastic piece. The first point of glasses falling off even made me lose my pair of cycling glasses on a trip when they fell onto a well. Otherwise it's an excellent helmet, lightweight and low profile. You'll see multiple pictures of me in it on my instagram page: @eriwhere.cycling. if you want a tip for another helmet, although double as costly: I recently bought the Met Rivale and I'm loving it! I only have about two weeks with it so can't talk too much about it yet but it's very very comfortable. The inside feels more luxerious than the mavic Aksium. And it got mips, which is good! Good luck with your purchase.
I have a white one that pretty much matches everything. I recently just got a crash replacement in a matte blue that also looks pretty nice. Thanks so much and so sorry for delay in reply. I'll be getting more videos up since I'm p settled in after moving.
Hi Dennis! That’s a good question and I can give a better visual in my next video for a comparison. But in terms of fit, when worn without a cycling cap the Align II sits comfortably above the brow (about 1cm+) as normal and is a comparable position to how my S-works Prevail sits, only with the added grams but isn’t that noticeable once on your head. It doesn’t look or feel goofy/awkward as I was expecting say, a one-size-fits-all sized budget helmet (I’m wearing a size M/L). Where those one-size ones tend to just feel a bit huge.
Hi! Of course! I bought the size M/L for the Align II. My head circumference is about 22.5 inches or 56.8 cm. The M/L helmet should fit 56-60cm (22-23.5 inches). Hope this helps!
I'm not too sure since I haven't tried the Giro Foray. Though, I know the Foray has been discontinued and is a bit higher price point than the Align II, I would go with the Align II.
