working my way up the German BB tree. Ultimately, I'm going to try the Bismarck with Hide inspired with Hipper, and Revel. Going to try brawler route with secondary enhancement. Hope my evil genius plan works.

A favorite ship for me has always been the Nassau. Solely for the secondaries. A maxed out Hide with my current level Hipper/Haruna gives my Nassau 7.7 etc. The beauty of this is most maps that the Nassau use are quite small. It has guns pointing everywhere so you can turn any way you want and still put on a pretty light show with mains and secondaries. All at tier 3. It is the most effortless seal clubber I've found.

That is wild! I’ve never seen secondaries go that far. Heck that farther than some DD’s main batteries. At least at lower tiers.

I think with the cv german commander buffing secondary reload and this new secondary commander, the new German bb line is coming very soon after it drops on PC. They are all secondary beasts

Wanted to see the secondary stats

Hyde is the more competitive commander just because he gets the accuracy for the main guns without losing any secondary potential. The only reason I swap between him and ciliax is because Hyde doesn’t have will to rebuild. Which is very very strong on a pushing build if you have another teammate that can come in and out of its activation range easily like a dd.

Damm 600 secondary hits is nice tbull I prefer to use von hipper on my bismark rather than a full build 10.6km range for them + keeping main guns more accurate at range suits my play style better only use full build on the t3 as that's fun.

I tried going full secondary on Bismarck, but TBull’s right. You get focused down real quick and burned by all the CAs and CLs, torp-spammed by the sneaky DDs, or moonshot by all the American and French BBs. Still experimenting with my build. I switched to aiming systems mod 1, kept Ciliax as commander and Hipper as my first insp, but tapped Cunningham for #2. Secondaries are still better than any other ship in your matchmaking, but you’re not useless and mid-long range.

Tbull, did you ever get the warhammer commander Lyons? You should do a Bismarck build with Hyde and Haruna/Lyons as inspirations. I don’t have Haruna but Hipper/Lyons is a really nasty build for starting fires.

The secondary/brawler build is viable both in standard and rank matches. Literally cruised through Season XV to Rank 1 playing mostly the Bismarck. It was bloody easy actually. Any DD or CC dumb enough to push across gets ripped to shreds and incinerated by my secondary. It also helps that the buffs getting picked up is a dead giveaway to an enemy DD's location. See the buff disappear, sail towards it, surprise a DD at 5km, they pop smoke, I pop sonar, then they die to my secondary barrage + HE shells from my main guns. Like I said, it's viable in both game modes. You just have to play smart. Of course you'll fail spectacularly if you just charge in just to get your secondary in range, that's just asking to die a quick death, utterly stupid thing most players sailing German BBs make. Perhaps they think they can out-heal the damage, either way, still stupid. What makes German BBs so lethal is their sonar, superior secondary, and depending on the BB type, torpedoes. It's simply dangerous to get close to them, they can literally zone out anyone from pushing. Once held the line using an island as cover and with support from a lone Vanguard at the back against 2 BBs, 1 CC, and 1 DD in my Odin, essentially a 4vs2 scenario. The DD refused to move in because I had sonar, the CC refused to go in because he'd get shredded fast, and the 2 BBs wouldn't push in because of my torps. We eventually won since I kept half the enemy team preoccupied. The Bismarck can do the same as the Odin and Tirpitz with its insane secondary.

On Bismarck I run Hyde with the brawler, gyrating drillbits, dispersion and the extra heal for the perks and fight fire with fire as the legendary perk. My inspirations are madden and Revel.

I use cilia for my Nassau and Bismark specifically for secondary build. Hipper and Hans for reload. Range is already 11.4. More rounds down range, punches in bunches lol

I got incredibly lucky with those crates but I did buy 12 I got a 2 pack with the Takao flag and a 10 pack got 3 commanders and the atago camo, now my Bismarck has over 11.2 Range and it in insane Haruna’s dispersion reduction on secondaries makes them snipers

Hey just a thought when you do these videos could you try use regular commanders since 90% of people don’t have there commanders

Had a kagero sneak up on me running this yesterday instant regret when he got spotted 8km out loving the secondary build just wish the gk was a little further than the bismarck at 10k just seems a bit underwhelming

If you have Picard, his penetration value for secondaries should help a lot. I use him with hipper and the new haruna

Exact build I made...love the secondaries....little tough playing humans..but for pure fun it's great!...and yes works good for a few ships!

Did you try John Luke pickup with those inspirations? Might get more damage with the penetration buff

Interesting results even tho its against AI. In real games i find secondaries only valuble against nose in targets as that's what their intented for. Some ships do have some AP secondaries for ships broadside unlike the Bismarck.

i have lyons or geisler for second inspiration. Lyons peaks the HE chance for secondaries which is quite massive, as you get huge number of fires if you manage to hit it at the rite time, but i would have taken the haruna any day, especially on us ships with lyons, you get the most out of it.

Perfect build is AL Scharn so you still get usable main batteries. Perfect US build is King Kong, Von hipper and Hakuta because you don’t need any accuracy boosts. Especially with Georgia that has built in devastating secondary accuracy…

I prefer John Luke with Hans and hipper get 5 percent more fire chance on secondary guns, better main gun stats(most of your damage) faster enhanced reload and longer duration. Sure it's roughly 1km different in range but way more accurate and efficient...

I recommend sharny commander so u can put hipper and haruna on as Inspiration and still get hood mail gun accuracy using sharnhorst

Try Lyon XIII instead of the new girl commander who I don't think the 4% range worths the slot and resources. Lyon shall in theory get you tons of fire, in theory (I got lyon but most of time didn't cause a lot more fire than I wished for)

True tests should be done in game vs Person. If you can't get a consistent secondary damage working there... its all pointless. It means nothing. This testing AI is irrelevant.
