The red haired is the best one this time. I love how her hair looks with this dress and the make-up, the quality and taste is getting way better from the last three or four years of Holiday dolls, the face sculpt is cute and beautiful. But still there's so much room for improvement to even reach the quality of the 90's and the 2000's Holiday Barbies. I agree that she is missing some dew drops or rhinestones or some printing or even glitter in silver or gold... but the lack of details doesn't bother me too much this time because the shape and size of the dress is almost perfect and that saves it, I love how well it fits the model muse body especially around the waist. I'm also surprised that the petals of the skirt arent made of that cheap fabric like the underskirt, It's collector material finally. I wish they'd put the same effort for the Disney Princess dolls, one can only dream...

I think you are right about the dress. While it is really beautiful, it misses...something. After having seen your review, I am tempted to buy one of the dolls just for the dress. Maybe to spruce it up a bit and try some different shoes.

Completely agree, the dress is super cute but it could be elevated so much more with some detailing to try and separate it from all the other red dresses the Holiday Barbie’s wear

It would be nice if every year there is a theme of the holiday, Barbie like snowflake, theme, Christmas bell theme, candy, cane, theme, Santa, theme, or a Christmas tree etc. it is cool how they did a poinsettia but yet it just looks plain with no extra colour or nothing it’s just a plain red ball gown.

I agree with you, Mattel should have hemmed the petals or lined them. Also maybe some gold embroidery on the petals would have been pretty. The quality of Mattel barbie clothes has really gone down hill.

The face is very pretty and I love the red hair. I believe white pearls at the end of the petals would've looked better. I wish she had more articulation.

I agree that some glitter/gold/dew drops would really add a lot to the dress. I also think the red haired doll would have looked stunning in white or ivory version of the pointsetta dress. But she is still pretty and the quality does look better than the more recent few years of Holiday Barbies. Still don't think they are worth the price though :)

for a holiday doll she's really plain and that makes her not worthy of the price point. I miss that glitter and motifs on holiday dolls like we had in 2000s till early 2010s. those holiday dolls r iconic and I cant see these new ones in the same row.

I feel like every year these holiday dolls just look cheaper and cheaper. I thought it was a joke when I saw the price on the Mattel creations store. It's brilliant that Mattel wants to put the effort in to make sure that these doll lines are more diverse but it's just such a shame that because of that the quality is taking a huge hit. why can't we have both 😭. Also there's definitely a model muse body that is just Barbie standing straight with no bent legs or pose but they just don't use it for some reason. I could be wrong but I think that the last time they used it was for one of the basic target dolls, or maybe it was for a Barbie look doll before they switched to the made to move.

I love the petal shapes on the dress I just wish that it had some accent colors to give it more detail and to make it look more dimensional. It would have been so cool if the tulle underneath was green. I'm loving the red hair too. It's been a while since I got a holiday Barbie, but I might have to get her 😍.

They should have given her a pretty hair decoration, and some pretty, dangle fancy earrings. Her dress needs some glitter, sparkles etc. Its just so boring to me. The model muse body again? Now I do love her face mold and her hair color! I might try to find her, she needs some more detail to make her pop.

The dress does look unfinished. It's really missing details. The dewdrop idea is good. I mean, it's Barbie... she is supposed to be the standard. Also, I can't with Holiday Dolls, at the price point, not having articulation.

I mean, this year's Holiday Barbie dress is like cheap red version of Tiana's iconic ballgown from Princess and the Frog... I miss Holiday Barbie from 90s to 2004.

The dress is very plain & boring. I am disappointed that the hem is not sewn onto where the cut out petals are. An embellishment would've been better than this sack! I am also sick of her always wearing red too. Purple & silver would be a good choice for xmas for a change though.

I received the blonde one for a birthday present and love her although i wish we could get the red head here! I also find that the plainess of her dress actually looks a lot more elegant/refined than adding lots of extras that can make them look cheap and nasty. Super jealous or your girl!

Congrats getting the red head I know a lot of collectors missed her on Walmart. I’m happy there’s 1 with black hair this year as well since I think the other 3 versions are similar to other years 🤔. Hunty, all Barbies have to be produced a year before they go to market. Superstar Barbie came out in 1978 but was made in 1977. The back of her head reflects that. You'll notice that on all your Barbies. Barbie and the Rockers maybe the exception. I don't have any of those in my collection to check, but you do I think if I remember correctly.

She really needs some pretty gold and green accents. If you didn’t know this doll came with poinsettias on the box, you would not understand what is going on with this dress. She’s way too plain to be a celebrated Holiday Barbie. She needs some ribbons in her hair or a poinsettia in her hair. The reference is too understated. I feel like they spent more on the box than on the gown. I do love the face and the bright, red hair! It’s like they made it half-way there.

Could you imagine Barbie in an emerald green velvet Christmas Dress 😫. I that would be so beautiful and a nice change. Or a rich royal blue with snowflake earrings. Mattel really is dropping the ball with the Holiday Barbie (except this one) they have been so boring.

Don’t get me wrong I love the Holiday Barbie’s but they seem like they are getting cheaper and cheaper. I’m glad they made new versions of the holiday Barbie, but I’m very disappointed in the dolls dress this year. The dolls dress it’s just plain red with no extra colour and no jewellery.

Cute head but honestly for the price it's not worth it. She's 62$ were I live (without taxes) and she doesn't even come on a made to move body. Also, the dolls have different skin colors but it would be nice if they came on a curvy and tall body.

Most of the Christmas Barbie dolls (primarily classic Millie) felt pretty dull, especially with this dress. But this redhead Odille's charisma adds a dress - it seems, she would look great even at potato sack!

Thank you for posting this video because I seen the red-headed Holly Barbie on the back of one of the other Barbie's boxes you know in the picture of my show all the Holly Barbies.when I went back to Target I only seen the four of them and I didn't see the red-headed growing where so I figured I may have made her up and I was disappointed. As a really young girl she probably look the most like me with the long red hair as a little girl I had hair round her shade.
