What a sweet deal! Having a backup baler is never a bad thing. I got a new to me baler this spring and i had a bearing go out while i was trying to get baled up before rain that evening. It's a good thing I had my old baler still. I was able to finish up baling what i could with the old girl. But i might end up selling it so I can get more toys, I mean machines.
More toys... I mean machines is never a bad thing. I have recently put my eye balls on a New Holland 1049 self propelled bale stacker that looks to have 10 years of grass and trees growing around it. It requiers further investigation. 🤔
Not sure if they can be straightened. I don't think the two knives a perfectly straight to begin with. They act more like scissors and practly touch each other. They are a wearable part that needs to be adjusted with use. I will have to get a close up pic of a fresh hay bale so you can see how clean of a cut they make. But... depending on price and if I can still get them, I may just press the out. 😂
