They have PTO shaft for Baylor‘s also I paid 3500 bucks last year for my square Baylor shaft from Agco because I didn’t see it on the disk bind doctors website I later and called them and they said yeah we could’ve got that for half price
Like the video Ray. Discbines are really nice to run but I’m learning that there seems to be a lot more maintenance to them compared to regular haybines. Good luck this season 👍
Thanks Dustin I’m going to take that cutter bar part like you did on your new idea next winter I always kind of thought they had less maintenance but maybe you’re right
New Holland didn't do a good job protecting the seal. JD didn't either on the early ones. We modified the Shields on the JD, no more issues.. but the New Holland is made just a little bit different, so the same modifications won't work..so we just dig the crap out when we flop knives.. that disc drive shaft is expensive from Case-IH, but less than New Holland!! Drop the shield for a wide row, gotta leave a little ground exposed for drying.
Are there drain and fill plugs on the cutter bar. Realize there are drain/fill plugs on individual cutter modules. But does bar have gear oil that can be changed?
The gear oil is only in the individual modules that are bolted together to create the cutter bar so there’s not common oil the oil is drained individually on each module.
I don't know much about New Holland discbines. Or any kind for that matter. We just got a JD Moco 14.5 cut width. I hope you are getting some rain my friend.
How do you like running no crop lifters? I’ve had tough time this spring in some lighter crops leaving strips with my 1411. I’ve bought the tea cups to swap it but haven’t tried it yet.
I haven’t noticed any difference so I’m glad I took them off cutterbar start up there’s less vibration and wobbling. In really thin crops whether or not you got the crop lifters on or not it’s still seems to blow the grass over have you messed with the RPMs and ground speed?
@@michiganhay7844 shucks I was hoping for a smoking gun fix lol. I haven’t tried it yet, but I did recently talk to the disc mower dr and he suggested to lower rpm, and increase ground speed. So I figure we can give it a whirl!
@@JakeBrakeIH i’m not saying it made it worse it probably did help a little bit but I’ve had to really lower the RPMs and very thin spindly grass like grass that’s kind of like a tall lawn and that does help
