THIS health care system is really a non healthcare system. People die under this health-care system everyday. There is no accountability and it us just horrible. It boils down to this: no money, no Care.

Just starting to research as I turned 65 and might not work anymore. Wow a confusing space! I'll search but a video highlighting coverage out of country might be useful. I'm leaning toward Advantage (and assume my Part B) premium is still based on last year salary, but do want to live in Thailand maybe half the year. Seems Medicare is limited in coverage overseas and given the great medical service and cheap insurance in Thailand I'm guessing it might be better just to have a policy there also.

My rent went up to 875, I get 866 a month and they want to take 164.90 out of my benefits? Do the math!! Either I become homeless but have insurance or no part B but a place to live?

How about: If IRMAA is assessed that winds up being too much, how do I get a refund?
@BoomerBenefits

hi there! You would need to fill out the SS-44 form and after Social Security reviews, they would apply a refund to your premiums or send you a check.

i got a MA plan in May with a $60 giveback and this year in the ANOC appears to be the same for 2024. How do I confirm that? Awesome plan for me. Lots of other extras like OTC allowance and SilverSneakers membership at a local YMCA. BB is awesome in looking at this stuff.

Hope you don't have a serious issue that leaves you at the mercy of the insurance company doctor.

@@daringilley3853 They are ALL insurance company doctors. Traditional Medicare is insurance just like MA or other types of public and private organized insurance. Insurance is all about SHARED RISK. Your individual health care issues are not determined by actuaries, but by your genetics and your lifestyle and the luck of the draw. Make your choices with the best information that you have. This isn't magic, it's life.
