For me the special non gamepass version of minecraft just says "installing view in queue" but when I go to the queue nothing is installing and I can't cancel the install from the Microsoft Store or from the queue so I don't know what to do
@@Jopetisawesomethe only fix I’ve heard to this issue is factory resetting Xbox but keeping all game and app data. And then afterwards you have to redo all the steps. They actually removed them because they were causing a bunch of lag for people and if they didn’t remove them, it would be very hard for a lot of people to play Minecraft
Ok so for anyone that deletes Minecraft thats from game pass first, and it doesn't let you install the older minecraft version, reinstall the gamepass version of minecraft, open it and keep it open while you go into the microsoft store, find the older minecraft version under the spongebob add-on, and it should let you install that version of minecraft. Then when you download the older version, after its done, delete the one that has the gamepass symbol and your good to go.
for anyone wondering, when doing the reinstall method your worlds only get corrupted if you didnt sync your data in your minecraft worlds, this may happen if you dont save and quit or just dont have enough storage. So before doing the reinstall method, make sure you save your worlds beforehand!
Update comment to smitty: I seem to have run into a problem that needs to be fixed. So when you try to do the reinstall method, the green button to install the older version of minecraft won't let you diwnload it. Every time you click install, it cancels it. This might be a problem for modders :/
This might actually work in the 360. Dlc for 360 was mad to be carry forward with bedrock but was never implemented. There is a folder that can be populated manually for add-ons only I never tried any. Maybe will test soon now 😂
To use shaders just do everything you'd normally do to get mods. I recommend using luminous dreams pack. Put the pack on a world then go to the Minecraft preview and transfer the world with the shaders to the preview. Then enable the experiment that would allow shaders and your done.

Little fun fact: You don't actually need to get the Spongebob minecraft specifically. You can do it with any minecraft dlc that shows that de-listed minecraft version.
@@RafanFarooquib it should. But currently, the Microsoft store will only let you buy it on a pervious version of the shop to my knowledge, I have no clue if they have fixed it as of recent.

You need to go to your updates and deny auto updates and then You just press the 3 lines on the Microsoft store when it pops up into your recently opened apps and click game card then click the settings and uninstall it then you open the Microsoft store from your Xbox guide menu

He mentioned you're going to have to do the reinstall method, and to do that you have to uninstall the game, look up the spongebob mod, scroll down to find minecraft, then download it from there
try installing the gamepass version then while its installing download the special version. then wait till there BOTH done. dont cancel the gamepass version or else it wont work. but after that delete the gamepass version and it should work
With the most recent update adding 4K resolution for Xbox Series consoles… what even is the point if we can’t install the resource packs that take advantage of that functionality?
I tried downloading the minecraft from the spongebob method and it won't let me download it, I press i install and it says view in queue and then goes back to saying "install" i've also watched your vids on how to fix it and that method didn't work either.
OK so I’ve been downloading mods for ages but all of the sudden the SpongeBob method will install for a millisecond then go back and won’t install and well my friends mods are gone.
It's because of Microsoft. They have stopped people being able to install it to maintain their monopoly on marketplace add-ons and content. It's so insanely corrupt it's ridiculous
So, a weird thing happened to me today: When I pressed "Install", it was supposed to show the "Installing, view on quewe" message, but it went back in a fraction of a second, showing me the "Install" button. I tried a few times, but it happened the same thing (btw, today I was able to upgrade my Xbox Insider Program to Delta, it didn' t work). Could you tell me what could have happened and how do I fix it?
On mine it shows a green install button and upon clicking it it will turn black and say installing view in queue but half a second after it will revert to the green install button I've been able to click on the queue button fast enough but it shows nothing no special minecraft no installation stopped nothing I don't think the install even started any fixes?

bruh are you serious, litteraly did this 3 times to make sure i wasn't trippin bassically the old version keeps on "updating" and it just straight up removes the old version and forces me to play the more updated version of minecraft. You can't mod xbox.

I used to download mods back in the day, came to this tutorial as a refresher. Its sad that most of the files are either outdated or "too large to extract" now. They really want to do everything they can to make you buy their mods. Its a shame
Tip to not let your world's go corrupt, this might work better for it. Unload the mods from the world's and then delete them and once everything is done and reinstalled the game and everything is downloaded, then you put them back on. Do this everytime you wanna load addons
Hey @Smitty058, I think I found a fix to stop the most recent issue with the SpongeBob Minecraft not being able to install : Step 1 : uninstall the Microsoft Store Step 2 : restart your Xbox in any way possible Step 3 : Pause The Store from Installing Step 4 : Start Reinstall Method process Optional step : make sure the store cannot install itself without user’s help
@@manmews789_vods3 on series x and series s, once the system update happens you can no longer “manage app” for the store and so you can’t uninstall it. I’ve seen the video, it doesn’t work since the system update from last week
I found a way to fix the not downloading error, but it involves factory reset. All you gotta do is do the factory reset with keep all games and data, and once you're back in the console, turn off the "keep my games and apps up to date", so the microsoft store doesnt update (and cancel it right away if it started automatically) Once thats done, just go in the store and if you get the "need an update" thing, just click cancel, go search the special version and thats pretty much it. Hope it helps.

Yo! I tried it now and it works! I have it on gamepass and i tried the SpongeBob methods and it didn't work and when it asked to update it with 0kb i did and i tried it in the new minecraft and it works! I had to create a new world and the pack was there
You gotta tweak the name on the file by renaming it you should be able to do that by pressing the three lines button and the option should be there but make sure not to delete the pack type I.e .mcaddon or .zip
As of Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.10.22, Mojang has removed the PDB files that Minecraft Bedrock mod creators require in order to work on mods and create them in the first place. Despite being undocumented, Mojang developers are on record stating this as intentional. Mods on console are no longer a possibility unless Mojang has a change of heart.
I’m trying to extract Better on Bedrock but the app stops at 2% and gives me an error saying “the specified name or path is too long, or a component of the specified path is too long.”
I’m installing the same add on too, it’s saying the same thing and it stopped at 21% for me, just keep waiting and it will continue to extract… at least on my end. :)
I had this issue too here’s what I did. I think I moved all of my addons out of their folders. And then I reset the cache on my Xbox. And then I deleted the special version of Minecraft. I then reinstalled the normal mc version again that doesn’t load addons. I imported the addons i wanted again back into their proper folders. And then I did the reinstall method of the special version and it loaded faster. For me it loaded slower when the addons are in there as folders instead of .mcpack so I’m not sure if that has something to do with it. But I just put them in there with .mcpack endings. And I’m not sure if this will work for you too honestly
One thing I just discovered, some textures and addons are bricking the game, causing it to not open, and this can only be fixed by reinstalling the game or deleting the texture from the folder.
Minecraft on console is a joke! I'm not just referring just for xbox one, but PlayStation and Switch users too. It's just completely outrageous of how you can't install mods for Minecraft with complete modding. It's just feels like a rip off tbh, paying for such a extremely high price for minecraft itself, and even paying to play online. It just feels a total robbery. With that price, I expect you to have the ability to install mods on console as well. Playing on console is just a total waste of money. Even mobile gets a better treatment, even tho the fps isn't everything, you can still buy Minecraft for around 6 or 7$, and still have the ability to download mods and import it to Minecraft without no struggle. Seriously Microsoft..... Make mods compatible for Minecraft without no modding.
pretty sure it’s patched at this moment. It worked for me abt a week ago, but now even if i have the game pass minecraft open, when I go to install the old one it starts and immediately stops and shows no installation status…
