I’ve done this and I was able to get in last night but the person who hack my account changed my email. And my phone number is link to some other person account I’ve never seen before a Hispanic male. I couldn’t do anything the password for his email link to my Facebook was changed to his password he made. Facebook wanted the password for deactivated and delete acc. Then finally when he login on it kick it me out. I’m so mad right now this getting this far. I give up!!!

I have an issue that might be related to this. I can access my Facebook account and even do things like change my password but I am unable to change the email address associated with my Facebook account in the account settings and then contact information settings. Every time I attempt to add a new email address (it doesn't let you change the address you have) I get an email asking me to log in and do this from a "recognised device". I have attempted to change my email address from every device I own and every browser that I use to no success. Please if you would be so kind release a video explaining how to resolve this issue if you know how as Facebook do not make it easy to get in contact with them. They have not responded to my emails. 🙏
