If you have a headset that has a 3.5mm microphone jack type can plug it straight to the microphone and use the mic like that but use the isolator because it will buzz.

I use the AKG P120 XLR Condenser Microphone with my Xbox Series X. I run an XLR cable to a Phantom Power Supply and then use an XLR to Headphone Jack cable to go into a headphone splitter. (Just in case you wanted to know about any other microphones.) Also, can you use this method with any wired controller or does it have to be a specific type.

First off, thank you so much. Will my Xbox Elite Controller v2 work if I use the Samson mic linked? I always play with it plug in with a USB-C as well, if that helps. Also, will a normal Microsoft Xbox controller worked if its wired connection?

So with my elites series 2 it works with out the usb cable plug up but as soon as you plug it up it stops working weird. I'd recommend my older video woth the turtle Beach adapter if you want to use that controller with a power cable. I'll link it if you haven't seen it. Let me know.

Ok so I have a hyperx comcast s but I stream on streamlabs my issue is my capture card needs a 3.5mm port and not a usb port I need to connect my mic to the capture card but don’t know what adaptor I need. Also when I put in stand alone to pc and headset to chat link cable I can hear me but I can’t hear game play

I am not sure since when you hook up to the Controller, all the sound goes to the controller unless there's a way to switch it to do both. Good question tho.

If you're using an Xbox wireless controller. You will need the Turtle Beach stereo adapter. If you have that adapter and it's still not working make sure you have the right cables with the three lines on them and hit the button on the bottom of the Turtle Beach adapter that says mic preset sometimes you get that button it'll make everything work hope that helps.

My wife got me the Maono DGM20S for Christmas I have the splitter, the 3.5m aux, and everything but the ground loop iso. Is that the only thing I’m needing now to fully clear up the audio everything works fine except when I talk in a party chat I have a bit of scratchy/ breakup sound.

If you have bad audio, try another controller. Your port could be bad if not that a cable or even the mic. It's process of elimination there's really no easy way to diagnose since your using lots of cable and adapter unfortunately.

My only concern with that is I’m currently using/trying to use a fairly new (less than a year old) elite series 2 controller. I would hope the controller is still in good shape and that it’s not the issue. I don’t have a ground loop isolator. Being it’s an elite series 2 could that be why? I only ask because I’m on pretty short supply when it comes to extra controllers. By the way I appreciate you commenting and helping me out.

If your running it wirless then no it shouldn't be you needing a ground loop isolator. I have one as well no issues with that when testing. You should have the original xbox controller that came with the xbox. Just do a quick test with it.

The different controller worked thank you sir! Do you happen to know if there’s a way to get it to work with a series 2 elite? I had my wife join a party to test how I sounded through the mic; with the elite I had break up and a weird noise. With a regular controller worked just fine.

But avoid the whole thing with the controller (too much cables), is it possible to use the mic attached to the hot shoe of the camera and headset plugged into the controller or it’s better with a capture card. Sorry for my negligence I am new into streaming world and trying to use what I have for the moment.

Yea, someone said if you have a dongle just get an adapter to go to 3.5 and hook to the splitter and it will work I haven't test this I need to tho.

Hi When you connect the microphone and headphones, is the sound you hear inverted? When I use this way of connecting the microphone, the sound that should be heard through the right speaker is heard through the left speaker, and the sound that should be heard through the left speaker is heard through the right speaker. It doesn't work, I have tried two types of adapters that divide the audio and the microphone, but when I connect the headphones (Razer Tournament Edition) and play an audio test video, the sound is inverted. The easiest solution from what I've read is to use the headphones the other way around, that's why I'm looking for a solution.@@PughsReview

First, thanks for helping me. I tested it with a friend and the same thing happens when he connects the adapter, the solution is to put the headphones on backwards, but not all headphones are comfortable this way. Not with this method I do have a video on how to remote stream your Xbox to your PC and you can plug your mic up to your PC and do it that way so check that video out

If it's a wired controller it's a must or bad buzzing will happen

@@PughsReview makes sense, I was going to try and use it for game chat but I believe if a headset is connected game chat only goes through the headset and I use pc and xbox so this won't work for my case. Thankyou for the reply though, hoping more people help
