Carwow, I'm from Portugal and the most expensive Hyundai Santa Fe for sale in Portugal is the Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid 1.6 T-GDI PHEV Calligraphy Pack which costs 72 950€
I can’t believe how ugly the back of this car is. It’s like they smashed together every bad design choice possible. How did anyone think that was a good idea?
Hold mute button on the steereng wheel for three seconds to mute speed warning sound, and also press and hold for three seconds lane keeping assist button on the steereng wheel to turn it off✌️😎
Going to try this on my Hyundai tomorrow - lifesaver! I'd leave the speed warning on if it didn't just beep at me for going 1 mph over the speed limit, there's got to be a slight bit of give imo. As it is I disabled it every time.
19:23 You can deactivate Speedlimit Warning by long pressing on the mute switch and deactivate Lane Departure Warning by long pressing on the steering wheel button with the steering wheel on it.
It's definitely unique in it's own right, my wife said "I just saw a car with taillights that look like dog bones" and I immediately knew what she was talking about.
From the thumbnail I thought it was a knockoff defender 💀. Also yh this powertrain is somewhat quick but at full load on the highway it’s pretty gutless compared to the previously offered 2.2 crdi with 200 ish hp. I mean for the price it’s alright but long term reliability of that 1.6 petrol with such load is questionable to me. Also yh the rear end…what da heil is that?!

@@sivx17 I know that paying 72 thousand euros for a hybrid SUV from Hyundai, even though it is the brand's best car, is a lot and the hybrid SUV options for 72 thousand euros are much better in terms of engine and construction material, but it is to compete with Volkswagen , BMW, Mercedes and Audi
my mom has a Hyundai SUV. It's a really nice car, it's just way too many extra features for my taste. I don't want my car to literally move my steering wheel when i get close to a painted line in the road. The steering also feels very light which is common on Asian cars. I prefer a much stiffer steering feel. Definitely, not for me, but I think there are a lot of women out there who would like the features on these SUV's.
Matt you actually listened to me wow! 👏🏾 Thank you! these are the cars you need to be doing reviews on, not just coupes and hatchbacks people have family out here lol 😂
Gotta love the Koreans upping their game to the extent that we have viable GOOD alternates to the usual European suspects in the semi-luxury segment. And the long warranty periods say something about their reliability, as opposed to the expensive maintenance and repairs BMW, Audi, and Mercedes require. And lets not even talk about Range Rover and their reliability!
Nah their engine reliablity issues are becoming a huge problem for potential hyundai buyers at least in NA market. The long warranty periods dont mean anything as i found out with my 2023 Palisade (engine just turn off while driving). They put you through tons of hoops to deny your claim. Dont believe their so called 'long warranties'.
This is nothing about going out of confort zone. This is purely ugly. And obviously there are many ways to go out of confort zone WITHOUT presenting such a poor design.
That's because the design is horrendous. And not just the rear. There is no design - it's two cubes stuck together on wheels. Stuck on wheelarches don't hide this fact.
The stopping of charging when you open the door is good. Because when our phones go off charge the screen lights up, so you wouldn't ever leave your phone in the car coz you'd notice it light up.
Wait a second, did he just say it was legitimate to compare it to an Audi Q7? Lol. These things go for $50k in Canada and the Q7s get up over $100k. The Audis are built like a luxury tank and weigh up to 800lbs more than these.
I think the design team made the rear less appealing so that more people would talk about it, which automatically gives it good reach. People will say, ‘Oh, this is the Hyundai Santa Fe.’ Maybe the next Santa Fe will have a better design, and people will say, ‘This looks great, I’m going to buy it!’ 😂
They make it look futuristic with the curved screens. They are NOT good. I tried it myself. It looks pretty, but the interface isn't at great. Don't let it fool you. Also, 50 000 pounds is way too much. Just go for an X3. Yes, the new one. The only difference is that it doesn't have a 3rd row. Solution: just throw the kids in trunk 😂
Have a 20 year old Santa Fe here, which is quite usable off road. This monstrosity is so low to the ground, that there is no way it can survive even easy off roading.
I mean except for the back there's little to dislike. It's a big spacious car with GENERALLY good looks and an improved BMW dash, may with lower quality but yeah, for the price amazing value one's getting out of this. I just wish they had some stronger engines, if you load up 5 people in this car and their baggage to go on a holiday, like I would imagine one might buy a car like this for, this thing will rly struggle to accelerate.
Its like they assigned the world most famous designer to draw it from the front, but theyre out of budget and give it to ceo son to draw the back. Nobody dared to say it was ugly.
I made a test ride myself recently, and due to new EU regulations the car was always and for everything beeping at me...i was so annoyed that i decided to go for a used skoda kodiaq (where you can turn everything off permanently)....other than that i think the hyundai is a great looking and performing SUV.
Loved the style, space and design... But I am just NOT sold on a 1.6ltr engine for £50,000. I also struggle with the "rear" of every Hyundai... The Kona is particularly dreadful.
The rear view will take some time to catch on, but there is a length of 6'6" from the rear door to the back of the front seats with the rear seats folded down. That means you can sleep in it..........
if u want to keep your audience healthy, change the cameraman, its a car review not filming Blue Angels loops-i didnt enjoy the car as much as i wanted even its vfm
The rear looks like one of those Toyota privia imports from the UAE. The FE front also looks like an old ford explorer (think Jurassic park). And what's with the 2 prong socket? 🤔🤔 Gona charge your toothbrush or shaver in the boot? 🤭🤭
Finally! I have been waiting for this test. Driven it myself and finally ordered new volvo xc90. Price difference was not that big with the discount from Volvo, but the quality was waaaaaaaaay better. This ECO fake-leather in the hyundai was truly awful. Shame, especially that I loved the design of new santa fe.
Dunno. The measly 1.1 tonne towing capacity would put me off. I do like dragging big trailers around and I've been known to stick the odd caravan on too.
