I fancied the Sorento, but when I saw the Santa Fe at the release event I realised this is the car for me. As soon as pre-orders open I'll be ordering one - AWD, HEV, light blue metallic.
This car is a great entry for the European market, since we lack mainstream practical 3 row SUVs. The only choices are German and French, which end up being expensive for optional extras and less reliable. This will fit perfectly since minivans have died out and it is the largest car in its class which families will appreciate.

Looks like Hyundai took a page out of the Ford Flex design book. Not a bad end result.
Did Hyundai say what the MPg vs MPe is for gas and Hybrid models.. They are saying March for USA Gas model , but Spring for Hybrid, yet most of the demos on RU-vid overseas are Hybrids??
The price-quality ratio is certainly better when compared to the previous 4th generation model!. Better premium quality. Hopefully also the pricing, the price is more competitive. 🤔
No idea why this is being compared to a 5008? I mean its totally different. This I would say sits in the Discovery and possibly Defender market better than the "small" SUV range
What Car, em Portugal o Hyundai Santa Fé 1.6 T-GDI HEV Vanguard+Luxury Pack com 230CV custa 64 156€(What Car, in Portugal the Hyundai Santa Fé 1.6 T-GDI HEV Vanguard+Luxury Pack with 230hp costs 64 156€)
Hyundai are a car company in a hurry. But they do seem to completely restyle cars at frequent intervals meaning your current gen version now last gen version gets dated.
Jeep 7 Seater, Mazda cx90, Toyota Highlander and many more options not just Skoda and Renault and definitely you cant compare to BMW and other luxury cars.
Sadly no we don't get the Sentra. Definitely a looker. But as it's a saloon and boring UK and Europe are abandoning this segment that it makes no sense for Nissan to import it. Oh and in orange the Sentra looks amazing!
It looks too much like a Range Rover. Inside in particular. Plus this is a glorified version of the old Santafe, exactly same chassis and engine. Also looking for a boxy and big suv I’d go for the EV9. Same price, all electric and nicer.
Sorry, The interior might be well designed, but the exterior is ugly. It's neither due looking nor elegant. It's a confused design exercise, and it won't sell much unless older people who don't care about looks but it. I don't see your generation buying this SUV.
I am not in the market for this type of vehicle, but I can see it doing very well. Maybe more so in North America where size matters. Great review as usual.

You're missing the point, once the EU starts with the 'we must protect all citizens' malarky, cars will be limited to 112kmh, and side roads will have speed limits that will be constantly monitored. So fines galore. Forget long highway journeys, they will just not be allowed. Now you see where this is going? And not just Hyundai, Volvo has already complied in advance.
To all the stupid people who are saying “that’s looks like a Range Rover”. I’m 100% sure that the Santa Fe will last longer and have less mechanical issues and recalls than a Range Rover.
You're perfectly right , it will last longer than any Land Rover/ Range Rover but ,it still looks like they copied the design 😅 from the Land Rover Defender 😅
Hideous outside, beautiful inside, but pricey. We loved Kia and Hyundai for offering a lot for not much money, but they don't any more. Chinese took that role, while Koreans turned into German wannabes.
@@dzmitrykuliashou1309 So does a G-Wagon and it’s all over mall parking lots. Which means, people still buys them. I see the new Santa Fe being a hit for the brand.
Rear H stands for HIDEOUS . It looks ok from the front, kind of ok from the side and no comment for the rear. If only they would move those lights higher, above the original lights. It looks like an old American MPV from the rear. And no, this car can not be a rival to Audi Q7, X5 or a Discovery. It looks like a microwave oven with wheels.
