Hi friend! What I have found helped with dogs is when they get their basic in house training with following commands; you should take them outside where there are more distractions. This really tests their attention to you and only you as their master (for lack of a better word). Oh, and bring treats!!

I know I have committed a lot on this vlog but I just want to give you kudos and congratulations on your new place as well as training Java because you are doing an amazing job and he is responding and comprehending very fast when you call out a command to him. Girl I am going through reactive puppy struggles right now too and it is so frustrating and heartbreaking! I have a pitbull so he has very little room to display those behaviors so definitely feel you when you said it's hard when you're trying your best. They will overcome!!

I have a mini schnauzer who will be 15 this year. When I got him we didn’t know anything about dogs. To this day he still is very feisty and will bark at people and dogs. I was 18 when I got him, I’m 33 now. I used to be so embarrassed by his behavior lol but it’s like he doesn’t know any better and neither did I. lol At this point he is a old man and I just let him be. lol Kudos to you for taking the time out with Juno and Java! ❤

😫 my 5 year old schnauzer, Jackson, has been acting like Java since he was a puppy. I spent $3500 on training for him and it did absolutely nothing. It’s so annoying but with him being my 3rd schnauzer, they’ve all acted this way. Schnauzers are usually very vocal, protective and stubborn, but some have a calm temperament like Juno. I have faith that Java can be corrected! I think you caught it in time, so cheers to you mama! Everything will be alright 💕

Schnauzers were primarily bred to guard homes and their humans. And they can be very protective. He’s still a puppy, reactivity isn’t easy but it’s going to take work and it won’t be fixed overnight. Socialization isn’t just taking him around other dogs, socialization can be as simple as sitting outside of a dog park (preferably further away and work your way up closer but don’t go in.) and rewarding him when he focuses on you. Also some dogs just don’t like other dogs and there’s nothing wrong with that. But you can teach him to tolerate them. I have a dog who’s reactive towards other dogs because we’ve been attacked by so many off leash dogs so I feel your pain. And It will get better if you put in the work.

“Because, Java is crazy” 🤣🤣 I literally have a toy Poodle she’s 3 but she is EXTREMELY reactive!! & it’s soooo annoying! She barks at everyone, everything, every noise. It’s super annoying but I love my baby so much & will seek training for her. I honestly thought it was just a normal thing because, I’ve only had big dogs my whole life and I know littler dogs are more fiesty so I’ve adapted to her behavior. She’s the sweetest baby but you’re making me realize that it’s not that normal. You’re definitely taking the right steps by seeking training for him.

I think I am going to try those scent beads, I have sensitive skin but lately I have been wanting my laundry to smell good. It’s wack stores don’t want people to record inside because they are essentially getting free promo. Like trader joes?! I know business was probably booming for them before but I feel like it’s on another level.

I got two dogs as well but my second dog is also reactive. So I understand your frustrations and walking them separately and training them separately helps. My first dog was so easy and well behaved and my second dog is a little wild due to her previous owner. But it’s so hard at times.

I just got a puppy who is 5mo old, and he is so reactive to everything also. it’s incredibly debilitating especially in an apartment! we’re getting him training too. I also heard the leash can cause the reactivity

You should definitely pray over Java and ask the Holy Spirit for patience and to help you train Java properly. Also, speak positively over him that he will no longer be reactive. God helps us with the big and small things of life. It will be fine🙏🏾🙌🏾

Even though I enjoy you cleaning. Be careful of the cleaning items to use. They could irritate a dogs skin. I would speak to the vet and they’ll tell you exactly what type of detergent to use. They do have detergents that unscented for animals like when you wash the items if you got a spray on your couch or whatever they are unscented but again be careful with the item. Product items are used like candles they said, candles are toxic dogs, but be careful. Thank you for sharing Sharing.

Java and my shorkie are just alike. Barks at everything and anyone. One trainer and vet told me my dog has anxiety and fear. Wonder if he’s the runt of the litter? Please get him a trainer to help you as dog senses your attitude and frustration. I’m sorry that happened to you but work with him and it will get better dog mommy.

I always look forward to your vlogs. if you're into lights you should definitely get the motion sensor lights to go under each shelf on the shoe racks sense you said the lighting was dim. the guy in homesense was irritating me, because WHERE does it say you can't record. unfortunately not every breeder is good. most just do it for money. they don't actually care for the dog and they know the dog won't be with them so they don't put much thought to it. its sad bc the next owner has to suffer as well as the dog has to suffer. as any child, dog or human, you will go through stuff like this. with proper steps (as you're doing) you will over this 💗
