On the models with auto(electronic) climate control, there are no mechanical connections, which makes removing them much easier. I made a short video covering this if anyone's interested. Thanks for making this video!
Are the radio and climate controls bezel attached? I need to replace the speed control switch and just want to remove the 3 knob bezel rather than take apart the radio and vents
What is the part number for that dash bezel? I have a 2016 Impreza and I hate the glossy black scosche kit and the Metra kit is terrible. I think I can use this bezel you used here and buy the vents for it.
how much would this whole kit cost me? I live in Las vegas but I ordered my through Hueburger Subaru....I have the factory stereo (non-Harmon Kardon). I upgraded my speakers to infinty Kappa and also infinty for the tweeters on the dash, im running a jl audio 250watt amp monoblock with 10' jl subwoofer but it still sounds real crappy.... when you replace the stereo do you still have full functions of the steering wheel controls?
i have a 2016 sti, how or which wires i should tap in so i can use the factory rear camera, i have a 12v to 6v, i just want to kno which wires i should look for
Do all after market kits require soldering? I just got a 2016 impreza and the stock radio is pretty crappy. It doesn't support navigation and the bluetooth audio information is not correct when playing songs. Do you think one with Android auto support would be better?
android auto will only show the same information provided by your mobile phone. they do make harnesses for this unit but will need multiple to retain reverse camera and steering wheel controls etc
+Elevated Audio, Inc Cool, good to know. I was about to buy a 4100nex because that's what you said in the video and I liked the way it looked but when I checked it out at the store it was ugly haha.
I would like to do this in my forester, do you guys work out in ny near Poughkeepsie? If not would you be able to help me get the right parts so I could do the swap?
