Alaa H yes I suppose it looks like a man’s jacket. But I can role up the sleeves and the lining shows and it’s a nice patterned fabric and I can add more feminine accessories.

I totally agree! I unfollowed so many influencers because they always showed new in things and hardly showed themselves rewearing outfits, I even felt like alot of them just took the photos of the clothes and you didn't really know if they actually wore the outfit out and about and I want to see more influencers re-wearing and re-stying items. Oh Karen, I’d be wanting to wear the woolrich pieces together once in awhile. The fabric is just so ❤️. There’s alot of yardage in the pants I can see a pair of cigarette pants made out of it to wear with your chunky boots and the jacket tossed over a black skinny turtleneck. Thank you, Karen, for your styling tips! I had thought to wear my summer dresses with some big sweaters, but when you showed that blazer with that dress, and you validated my need to buy a particular new jacket! I am so grateful for you to urge us to wear what we have and not buy into fast fashion! With not a lot of cash, I have always tried to buy quality and stick with classic styles. As a result, I have some great pieces that I still wear years later. However I saw a jacket that I just fell in love with! I dont have anything in velvet, but Free People has a jacket that I had to have! (Nicolette Velvet Blazer) I have a double bested, herring bone pattern pea coat similar to yours that I love, and I have some chunky combat type boots that are so comfortable, and I have a couple of leather jackets, including a black shirt jacket, but i rationalized that it was my birthday and this velvet jacket was my gift to me!! I vasilated because it was more that I wanted to spend, but it sold out! 😨 But after looking at so many velvet jackets, there was nothing else that I liked better! I kept checking and it came back on back order! I bought it, but haven't gotten it yet! BTW, I think that I saw that Gianni blouse and I love the sleeves, but didnt care for the tie around the neck! (I dont like anything around the front of my neck!) I'm guessing that you are wearing it backwards! That is a brilliant idea! It looks so good on you! And that red plaid thrift find is beautiful! (Yes, I wouldn't wear the top and pants together. It is too much! But those plaid pants looks so high end with black! Happy birthday again! Thanks for the video!

We New Yorkers don’t automatically have a fashion lock. There is much more competition to find good stuff in consignment shops because shoppers are in the know Also trends sell out in dept stores quickly. Try to find the latest Prada boots. That being said love the thrill of the hunt! I have found some real gems in out of the way places where people don’t know hat they are selling

One thing (among many) that I like about your style is that the colors you prefer are the colors that look best on me. For the past few years, a lot of influencers have been wearing colors that I describe as "muddy." And the white is not white, but a dingy gray. I like every color of course, but mustard, ochre, sienna, terracotta, orange, and millenial pink look terrible against my skin, whereas white, charcoal, navy, and jewel tones look fantastic.

Oh my eyes popped on that yellow snakeskin bag! First it makes me all nostalgic because it is the style of my first "real women's bag" that also was yellow, that I had gotten when I was growing up that had a beautiful matching pair of kitten heels! & secondly I have recently purchased a pair of yellow snakeskin sneakers that I haven't worn yet. I bought them while shopping with my daughter, & was under the impression she wasn't too keen on them, but when she came over the other day I was surprised to see her wearing them, so I guess she really did like them after all, & had went & gotten herself a pair...lol! I'm afraid your bag is beyond my budget, but who knows...dreams do come true sometimes!

no matter how different my style is from yours, I can still learn so much about patterns/ shapes, what goes together and what not from you and it amazes me. I also find myself liking the same exact piece of clothing as you but I would style it in such a different way. Really love all of your tips! And u also got me into thrifting so that’s cool
