Gurgaon or Gurugram is a city just southwest of New Delhi in northern India in the state of Haryana. It’s known as a financial and technology hub. Gurgaon has become a leading financial centre in India after Mumbai and Chennai. We are today travelling in Golf Course Road which is among the most prominent and beautiful roads of gurgaon.
Today we are travelling from Delhi to Gurgaon from Chattarpur to MGroad and IIFCO chowk.
It lies near Udyog Vihar, which is a conventional industrial area on the opposite side of NH 48.
Gurgaon is a satellite city of Delhi located in the Indian state of Haryana and is part of the National Capital Region of India. It is 32 km (20 mi) southwest of New Delhi and 268 km (167 mi) south of Chandigarh, the state capital.
As of 2011, Gurgaon had a population of 8,76,900. Witnessing rapid urbanisation, Gurgaon has become a leading financial and industrial hub with the third-highest per capita income in India. The city's economic growth story started when the leading Indian automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited established a manufacturing plant in Gurgaon in the 1970s. Today, Gurgaon has local offices for more than 250 Fortune 500 companies.
Delhi is a city and a union territory of India. It is bordered by Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. The NCT covers an area of 1,484 sq km (573 sq mi). According to the 2011 census, Delhi city proper's population was over 11 million, the second-highest in India after Mumbai.
Delhi's urban area is now considered to extend beyond the NCT boundary and include the neighbouring cities of Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad in an area now called Central National Capital Region (CNCR) with an estimated 2016 population of over 26 million people, making it the world's second-largest urban area after Tokyo (Japan) according to United Nations.
It is the second-wealthiest city after Mumbai in India, with a total wealth of $450 billion and home to 18 billionaires and 23,000 millionaires. Delhi has the highest per capita GDP in India with ₹3,29,000 (US$4,600) and total GDP stood at ₹6.86 lakh crore (US$96 billion).
Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.
