@capecrawlers have you found a solution to running the injora 43:1 reduction gears in their billet case. Mine bind when case is closed lightly, seems others have the same issue.. I may make clearance tomorrow at work, but wondering if you've ran across this. Trx-4m platform. Tia
SOOO glad to see something able to give Furitek a true competitor at a decent price!! The Spektrum Firma just didn’t seem like it was “it” haha I don’t think I’d want to buy anything like this without seeing you test it first. Thanks and great video!
I am stuck you didn’t show what to download or unzipping the file at first I couldn’t find it on the injora website then I didn’t plug the trunk first now I don’t know what or how to unzip. Easy to install love it so far. Love your vids especially with your son. I am 68 and am computer challenged thank you for your help
I am still hoping that there will be a brushless TRX4M conversion kit, with an ESC/receiver combo, that will bind with the stock and aftermarket transmitters. And that will control the tail lights/brake lights/backup lights like the stock ESC does. I do not want to have to add a separate light controller. I like minimal wiring and to keep it tidy. Also, make it the same size and configuration as the stock ESC/receiver. I would buy three today if this existed. Injora, are you listening?
One thing to note you breezed by the motor kv must match in the programming. That means you CAN run any senseless motor with it. Just tell the esc the motor size.
Really smooth and powerful system! I dont have a extra transmitter and reciever lying around, so what would be a decent, budget friendly transmitter/reciever combo?
@@CapeCrawlersthank you, much appreciated, and the price is great! I'll use this one for my standard crawlers, and the Cedar for super dusty or muddy environs.
Looks great. Basically it’s a mini Hobbywing Fusion. I’m surprised Hobbywing hasn’t made something for the mini rc, their 1/10 scale fusion stuff is amazing . RC fun and games reviewed this set up and said you will get a Traxxas battery adapter when purchasing but we need to buy a receiver ?
It’s more like a standard brushless esc and motor. Hobbywing fusion is a 2-1 system containing the motor and esc in the can. I doubt Hobbywing will make anything for the micros unfortunately. Holmes hobby’s recent videos on micro crawlers made me realize that a lot of companies don’t really see micros as a good return on investment. Castle released mediocre sytem and the spektrum system is just a repurposed esc/motor meant for like a touring car or something. Which is why it was pretty awful. I’m getting long winded here lol. But the new furitek 2-1 would be closer to the Hobbywing fusion’s. But knowing Furitek it’ll likely cost even more than the fusion pro…
@@JUSTHAVEFUNRC yes I understand the differences . All I meant is it has wheel speed when you need it and great control on the low end, therefore it acts like a Fusion motor. If they thought it was worth their time they would have already come out with something. I’m surprised Injora is still cranking out upgrades for this platform, but it means people are buying them, I have 6 trx4m, and lots of Injora upgrades on them but I’ve got them to a point where I’m happy with the capabilities. Happy R/Cing !!
Ya know, I do, eventually, want to get this for my TRX4M Bronco, but my question is: what kind of battery will I need?? Other than that, am quite interested in this kit. 🤔
It looks like it hasn’t enough torque for slow crawling, because almost every obstacle it passed with the punch. For the indoor course it is the worst result I’ve seen on this channel, considering that this wasn’t box stock rig
So many people are going to destroy their batteries with this system. LVC is off by default, Injora either needs to set it to on during production or include instructions how to do so. On a side note drag brake can be adjusted the setting is called Stopped Brake Level its a slider from 1-10.
Hi all, great video!! I just bought the TRX4M Defender and I want to get some hope up's. Is Injora a good company and where are they located? Asking that question because of ordering and waiting for product shipping.
Gotta say im a bit disappointed. Performance looms fine and the proce is okay. But the entry kevel furitek combos arent much more and have Bluetooth programming and smaller escs
youre right and smaller esc, replaceable wire harness, integrated on/off switch, no silly seperate adapter plate, plus they come with a receiver so you dont have to replace the factory radio.
Almost glad this isn’t available for the SCX24 as I am currently waiting on delivery for my lizard pro esc, and motor mount for the micro Komodo to go in my Dead bolt
@CapeCrawlers you saved me with the usb c cable, I could not get a com line and was getting pretty frustrated but thanks to you I got it figured out! Your videos are the best!
I have two Defenders. One is built for crawling the other one is just stock with all metal drive train and fast gears. I could make it faster with overdrive gearing in the axels in the future. But it is so much fun to see it drift around and do donuts and what not. I feel like I needed the fast one to be faster and this feels like it. I want to tune the fast one like a Baja truck so it can handle rough terrain at high speeds. The crawler is already so capable I'm just enjoying watching it do its thing out on the rocks.
How does it compare to the Furitek Micro Komodo + Lizard Pro? I’ve decked out my TRX4M with everything except electronics, and want the best slow crawl on the market. I’m leaning towards Furitek because of the Bluetooth esc settings, and the fact that the Injora system is $60, making me a bit skeptical as to its performance compared to the Furitek.
Annnnnd it's already sold out. I should have bought it sooner but I wanted to see what you thought of it first. Guess I will have to wait until the next batch. Price point is insane and is definitely going to make other manufacturers out there think.
I would honestly keep waiting just a tad longer, I heard their working on waterproofing the esc with an updated version pretty soon which is what I’m holding out for
