NEW INTERIOR Air Canada Jetz A320 Trip Report 

As a Montreal native, it made me smile when I heard the FA's message saying "well as you can see it's Christmas day, so you know we won't be short on space"

Really like these recliner seats. They look way more comfy and spacious than the newer domestic first seats on DL, UA etc. Also, AC is usually quite generous when it comes to treating their status holders sitting in Y. Higher tier AC status members usually get whatever snack / drink they want off the menu free of charge. Some FAs even proactively come to you to offer them.

I've flown on Air Canada, twice in business class and once in economy.. My best experience was in business class from Toronto to Bogotá in business class. My business class experience from Casablanca to Montreal was on a very old A330 in 2019. I believe they got rid of their A330 fleet so thank goodness for that! My experience in economy was on an A220 from Newark to Toronto. That was an amazing flight because of the aircraft.

glad you were able to find one of these sweet aircraft. Flown on C-FMSX twice before back in its mainline days was lucky to get a JETZ 319 before they were retired in covid and one more time on A320 C-FNVV thats now even got the really slick all black livery

Maybe at some point Air Canada management with have the video screens on a couple of the "Jetz" selection of aircraft! Maybe! I don't know if its general practice for Air Canada but the FA's committed the unpardonable sin of leaving the cabin lights on for the entire flight! How does AC's cheese plate compare to Alaska' Airlines' plate?

No seat back entertainment?

I am so not understanding why everyone complains about not having seat-back IFE. It's a tiny screen stuck to the seat in front of you, you have to use their earphones, and a good amount of them are slow and clunky trying to navigate around. I'm perfectly fine on board American Airlines domestic flights that don't have 1. I have my trusty tablet I snap in place in the holder and I'm good to go! My earbuds are either plugged in or I'll use my Bluetooth ones. I never have an issue navigating it, it isn't slow or clunky. Why am I singling out American? Well they chose (smartly I feel) to NOT have IFE in the seat back but instead on my own personal device. I pay FAR less for my ticket (F) using my own device vs Delta or United that charge almost double the cost and the only thing you get for it? A seat-back IFE. A perfect example is my upcoming trip. Both United and Delta were charging over $1,000USD for F. I found the same flights for only $620. Saved $380 all because there is no IFE. If someone NEEDS that IFE so bad, I guess you'll pay a ridiculous fee for it. Not me!! That money saved was used towards the hotel bill. Safe travels everyone!! Feel free to comment but please keep it clean and leave the snark at the door.

This is how seats in airliners should be. We aren't cattle, stop treating us like it.
