Your very right George, the new Fastrac looks like a very versatile tractor. For road and plant haulage and great for farm work . A great review George 👍🔧🚜
Feel like they need a higher rated power option in both tractors. A 280 in the 4 series would open it up for triple mower work etc. A 400+ in the 8 would be great for wood chipping and tree clearance work. Both those things would really work well with the excellent road characteristics
@@GeorgeSaunders 300 and a built in tyre inflation system and you have something which would be a strong rival for the new Fendt 728 or New Holland T7 300. Grass contractors would go mad for them.
There's a farmer not far from me with an 8330 Fastrac and its an amazing machine. You didnt see too many older Fastracs here in Canada and most of those were pretty much only used as carting tractors. But JCB is really pushing over here with the new series and I think guys are buying them. But like you said the older ones are really a road machine. Thats why they never caught on over here. People who tried them said they were light on traction in the field, but not the new ones dont seem to have that problem
over the years ive been very lucky enough to drive plenty of fastracs previously for work to , and this one is far the most superior in comfort, build quality and enjoyed the afternoon with you and liz filming this ❤😊
Good evening George, as always a very informative video about the JCB fast track and how it’s evolved over the years and with all the modern technology to help it on its way forward and until next George, TaRa for a bit.
I just love fastracs, think they're amazing. I still love driving the 1135. Still makes me smile, but yeah the 4 series are just amazing tractors. The icon is where it needs to be, when you can get a 65k fendt, or John deere and so on that do 50k. It's all about being good at both. Great video mucka
They’ve missed a trick with the cab I think, needs a reverse drive option using the xerion vc system and another 50ish hp to make it a real all rounder. Claas have left an opening in the market by making the xerion so big….
Hi George,I got a lot experience with a lots of tractor brands,a long time I ve got MB tracs, but they are not really powerfull and coulden t put the Power on the ground, now i ve got MF,but the JCB 4220 ist a reallly amazing tractor,it s perfectly for mixed operations, last time I drove a demo unit,I was very impressed from this tractor, nice greetings from germany...
Hi and good evening George, That do look like one smart Machine George then it should do with the time you put in to it you have every to be Proud of what you have done and as always it’s a great video,🚜🚜🚜👍⭐️⭐️⭐️
I agree I had a 155-65 with big tyres on she would do 40-45 mph was grate on the road lovley thing with not much electrics I don't even have a farm just all ways wanted one
Nice Tractor,I Have Never Understood Why Farm Tractors Should Be Solid Rear End Not Suspended,This is from somone who started Driving them 42 Years Ago ! I Dont See How Farmers Are Prepaired to pay Massive Prices for a Tractor That is Still Solid Rear End in this day and Age.And They seem impressed that the cab is on Supension. If your buying a New Tractor in 2022 it Should have All round Suspended Axles,Would You buy a New Car with a Solid Rear End ? If JCB Are Making Fast Reliable Fully Suspended Tractors at a Competative Price,Why would Anyone Want to buy Another Make That is still Using Tech From the Past and paying a load of money for it. Buy a British Tractor That is Superior To All the others and be Proud of it.
Hallo george Nice Film from new JCB fastrac. I think for heavy field works is a John deere 8000Serie good he has a good heavy weight to push the plough and more. For easy work is the fastrac a very good machine
I still don’t think you can beat all round suspension for comfort or on road handling! One day George I’ll have you in a merc and you’ll see the next step up 🤪😁
With recent use of the Flatlift been responsible for a bit of carnage with your other tractors George I wince from behind the sofa when I see it out🤣🤣🤣. By the way how does the Blackcats roundabout get its name???.👍
Looks a great bit of kit and from someone that doesn't like modern techy tractors l would love to have a go in one of these new Fastrac's. Haven't driven a Fastrac since 2006. The last modern tractor l drove was a CASE Puma 145 and it was as bad as a 2017 Fendt 7 series thing that was like being sat on a bar stool mounted to a kayak going down white water rapids, l hated the thing! Top video George!
But how do the compare on price with similar power competitors George like the John Deere , The Deutz Fahr and the Fendt are they in the same ball park or way out In the stands
Hey George. How would you compare 4220 with fendt 724 regarding comfort. You worked in 724 but they have 3 kinds of cab suspension, mehanical, air and 3 point air self leveling.
Hi maxevil, no doubt the Fendt was very good, it was a profi plus so it definitely had the air suspended cab, but it wasn't a patch on the Fastrac comfort wise and indeed the Fastrac did everything the Fendt could do in the field. It really was a good comparison when I was at Henry's.
It's a nilfisk but I can't remember what model, I was applying a product called snow foam in the video, it's very good at removing dirt and grime with less brushing than normal TFR👍
Theres a guy near me, he has fastrac , not sure of model but pulls a big excavator on trailer, strange he doesnt use it in the field, they have old David brown and john deeres..
@@GeorgeSaunders Me too, it's a great thing. Sometimes old is good. Also the steering wheel in the old 4000 looks better than in the new one but it's individual, someone likes the old better, someone likes the new
A workhorse that gives you that comfort during a days work is worth it's weight. It's like a L322 Range Rover, once you have owned one, everything else is a disappointment.
Cheers Trusty mate, these are limited to 60kmh. The bigger 8000 series can do 70kmh the same as my 3000 series. You could also get versions of my 3000 series that did 80kmh so you heard correct 👍👍👍
@@GeorgeSaunders I probably haven’t mention to you before but I have an old Fergie 35 Gold belly that was given to me some years ago. I plan to get her running and do her up one of these days. She’ll be a “LONG” haha term project a little later but I do have most parts already I bought new while back. Just need to find the time, oh I’m not a farmer, I should’ve been but instead I work at an milk factory, we have dried powder processing plants in Victoria Australia.
I think there is something wrong with me. I'd rather sit in the kitchen on a wooden chair watching tv, than sit in the lounge on the sofa watching tv. I'd rather sit in a 1980 100hp tractor than a 2007 plate equivalent.
Don’t care what anyone says the tractors of today especially fast Rac’s are far to complicated you need a university degree to operate them that’s why I used to help out on a farm ,but not now as todays tractors that’s coming on the market are a no no 😢
