All the revers alarm is, it’s a cable on the back door. When you open it just pull that cable and unhook it. Did it on my machine, can’t stand that beeping sound.😂😂
Congrats on getting your skid steer, nice addition to the team. I’m in process of installing 300sqft patio and moved over 9 ton stone one wheelbarrow at a time (would have loved that thing). I’ve been binging your videos and appreciate your explanation of WHY you do something, great help with my decisions. This patio came out awesome and love the few minutes talking about his Jeep! Boys and toys.
Thank you very much, it sure is! That is a lot of stone to move by hand, I bet you slept good those nights though... 🤣 I have done a fair share of wheelbarrowing stone, it give you a great appreciation for hydraulics... Thanks for the support of the channel and I'm glad the videos have been helpful. ✌
Fellow hardscaper here! When you say the machine lifts a pallet "no problem". Can you expand on that? Right now, I'm using a compact tractor as my loader, and I'm looking to upgrade to a 65-2. I'm trying to find out from guys with experience with the machine if it'll unload full pallets off the side of a semi trailer. Does it struggle to lift full pallets 4-5ft off the ground? Thanks bud!
Thank you, glad you like them! The ROI is unbelievable..... I use this machine 4-6 days a week all season. So if I were to rent a machine like this for a month, it would cost between $3,400 - $4,000 per month depending on where you rent it from here in Massachusetts. My monthly payment is just under $1,200. Huge game changer for me and my business. ✌
Hey John, I do think it can. Especially the techo pallets with 117 sq ft on them. The genest pallets I work with often are a little heavier with 124 sq ft. But yes, as long as you are not higher than 50% of its lift height. You just have to be smooth with it ✌
Do you ever use a laser transit to set excavation height? That’s how i was taught. Or do you set your strings based on your pitch. And then just measure from the string to the subsoil?
I financed my skid steer through Kubota themselves. They will sell you a machine with very little down if you have good credit / a couple years of business finance history that is decent. But they offer very good rates. I got a 2.5% interest rate on the machine. Pretty good...
i don't recommend high vis shirts. once they're dirty, they stay that way and look like crap. unless you are a laundry expert and know what to do; but I'm a boy and don't mess with that
The compaction is necessary or it will settle over the years. Even though the stone is getting compacted, it still remains very open and permeable. But every 6" of base stone you install needs to be compacted.
