Complex's weekly series Don't Believe the Hype takes a look at what's hot and what's just hot air. Sneakers, clothes, tech, food-nothing is safe. Every time Nike drops a new Jordan 1 colorway, the hypebeasts come out in full force. But last week, when Nike dropped TWO colorways on the SAME weekend, the hype just can't be stopped. So which new colorway - the Court Purple or the Pine Green - deserves the hype? Speedy sets up a Jordan brand face-off to see which one Complex staffers are rocking with the most in this new episode of Don't Believe The Hype.

2 shoes that I couldn't get my hands on. Never had that much trouble buying a grade school shoe......ever! I would buy them both, but I wouldn't pay resell for either. Reason being, $300 for a $120 shoe makes no sense to me.

These are alright shoes but I didn't think they were going to be sold out. They're ordinary really. It's just getting boring now. They're not putting much effort into any of the Jordan's and just recycling and milking all versions and slapping the price tag on all of them. It's just not special anymore. Everyone has Jordan's. Back in the day it was a big thing to just get one pair and not everyone could get a pair. It's all designed for resellers now and this whole new generation is garbage in general. The world has gone to shit in every department. I'm just glad I actually lived in the best times and don't try to pretend I did like most people who didn't even see Jordan play when he was playing. Not even on the Washington Wizards. Only the internet allows them to try and act like they know everything but they always get exposes because only people who were actually around back in the day can tell you how it truly was.
