I am wanting so badly that this movie does great but I must remain cautiously optimistic with the previous installments. Please i am begging make this a great movie 🙏
This movies seems like it’s going to be more about the dinosaurs in our world than dominion was supposed to be about. I still don’t get why they decided to focus on Locusts more, prehistoric bugs are cool, but they shouldn’t be the main focus focus.
It’s giving off such lost world vibes Secret ingen island (I say ingen as behind Ali’s character is a sort of sign or poster and if you zoom in to the bottom corner you can see the ingen logo plus we saw the ingen gas pump in a previous image) Civilians on a boat near to the island Mercs coming to the island for Dinosaurs (this time for DNA not live specimens) Mercs being stranded with Civilians on the dinosaur island Long grass Probably most of the mercs getting eaten Lots of abandoned ingen buildings etc
So in other words, another dinosaurs on an island movie, and I thought people got tired and sick of this, this was done 5 times, 6 if you count the dolomite mountains as sorta island in the sea of mountains, just make a movie about dinosaurs on the mainland and how that is affecting everything that we took for granted and such, as well as how corporate greed and evils of the world abusing this power for their own good, message of human nature would cause their own demise if this power goes unchecked, so yeah
@@cryptodino3roberts712 Yes, but they did not fully follow that storyline, but instead they done the second half in another dinosaurs on island like area storyline but instead of an island, it is in a valley in the mountains, I want more of the Malta scene but a global scale, and go in deep with that storyline, so yeah
@@sgauden02 Until we get better and more courageous writers willing to call out pop science on its bullsh*t I don't think we'll ever see another story close to OG JP. : (
Yea same, I wish. But unfortunately cats out of the bag and we can't go back to a park anymore given dominion 🥲 wish they'd just make stories around the first 4 movies
When I read the "They're trying to get DNA from three massive creatures" and that the dinosaurs couldn't survive everywhere on earth, I kind of sighed a bit. They skipped an entire amount of time where you could actually make a movie about the horrors of going outside and there being velociraptors hunting in the city like coyotes, etc. And getting DNA from three dinosaurs that could "help humanity"? What does that even mean? lol I can't think of anything at all that wouldn't make that NOT cheesy. "Oh, we found out that if you get us the DNA from these creatures, we could prevent cancer!" or "People could live forever!" Okay, so... Why is that a secret operation then and not funded with a team larger than 3 people? lol
Maybe it's to help them treat a new disease plaguing humanity. Perhaps they'll do the DX Virus from the lost world book and explain how it mutated & it is affecting humans
They should've waited 14 years like they did for jw and wrote a half decent script instead of some crazy sci-fi shit that doesn't make any sense. Will I still watch it? Hell yes but I will be pissy about it.
They dropped the ball with showing us a fully functioning realized jurassic park which was the selling point of jurassic world. And they also dropped the ball with showing us dinosaurs living in the wild with humans
This plot ain't it chief, and setting back a lot of things the last two movie set up, this is a much worse story plot then Dominion tbh, another movie that they don't get how to do, lol
I haven't seen Collin make that statement, but that scene with the Apatosaur felt natural to me, and it was one of the small details that I liked about Dominion. Different from the T-Rex, the Apatosaur didn't act "hypnotized" with the flair, it turned it's neck to call out for another hidden Apatosaur to follow along. It felt like a natural "herding" behavior done by people who worked in Jurassic World, like we see in season 1 of camp cretaceous: Herd dinosaurs following large trucks to a secure area. The honk of the truck sounds similar to a large dinosaur (like the Apatosaur) and the flair is used to get it's attention, following the people herding the animal. It didn't feel silly like other things in Dominion did
Pretty unexpected that they would drop the full synopsis so early. I just really, deeply hope that this movie is well-recieved. I don't think the franchise in general can take another fatal blow like Dominion.
I think that while the dinosaurs aren’t everywhere they can still explore how the dinosaurs affect rural and tribal people in places such as South America, Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. I think that them exploring how the dinosaurs affect rural and tribal people would be a lot more interesting than how the dinosaurs affect people in big cities. I also think that dinosaur trafficking is still going on especially since some of the leaks about this film say that dinosaur trafficking will play an even bigger role than in Jurassic World Dominion. I also think that the big sinister secret is most likely some type of disease/virus very similar to planet of the apes. My idea is that back in the 1990s InGen ether intentionally or unintentionally cloned a prehistoric disease/virus that briefly got loose but was quickly contained and covered up but is now accidentally rediscovered.
I’m just happy we have this channel. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. I’m sure that’s not an easy task. This channel is the only way I stay updated with everything Jurassic.
Showing LOVE for my absolute FAVORITE channel period thank you for another perfect example of why I love your channel my friend plus i been listening to your lore and cannon videos alot here lately at work, i just love the Jurassic park franchise. Thank you. Again and have a blessed day everyone
Finally Science Fiction is back in this franchise believable Science Fiction, I think collecting dinosaur DNA to see if it could have some medical benefits seems like a Michael Crichton idea😊
Unless you’re accepting of modern (gay - yikes!!!) storytelling or not religious. Then you have to sift through a lot of that being ironically forced on you. 😬
I can only hope that the dinosaurs act like actual animals instead of trained pets, which is where the World trilogy lost me. Also, make the t-rex a legitimate threat again instead of a pushover to show how much more powerful another antagonist dinosaur is. Good up the good content!
I'm excited, but slightly disagree about the plot sounding more serious than the recent movies. A doomsday disease which can only be cured/prevented by using a miracle drug created from live dinosaur DNA seems a little unhinged =D
I was looking up more info on Rebirth and came across this video and had major flashbacks. I used to watch all of these videos like almost 7 years ago now before Fallen Kingdom. I adored the videos about the original novels. Love to see that you're still going! Can't wait for more videos about Rebirth.
I've said before that with Gareth Edwards being the director, I expect the movie to be pretty good since most of his stuff has been good so far. Having the name changed from Jurassic City to Jurassic world rebirth definitely is a good change and the story sounds pretty interesting. I'm actually looking forward to seeing this
I’m personally excited about this movie! It sounds fundamental and straightforward: It's about returning to a Dinosaur-infested island, my favorite type of story in the Jurassic Park series. Those aquatic dinosaurs might be Spinosaurus, Baryonyx, or maybe Suchomimus (connecting to Chaos Theory). Or perhaps they meant aquatic reptiles like Plesiosaurus without realizing they’re not dinosaurs. Jurassic World Rebirth could be the best film for 2025. Bring it, Gareth and Koepp!
I would prefer it be in civilized areas, but isolated ones. South American towns or fishing villages. Something like the one JP comic with the dilophasaurs attacking the one town.
Great video on the details of Jurassic World Rebirth and the images of the upcoming movie are actually really cool and so impressive in my opinion. I’m definitely excited for what they’re gonna do and I hope it does a lot better than Jurassic World Dominion in my opinion. Great work Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
Once again, Mills is wrong. First about who created Maise (it was her mother, not Lockwood) now this. (Laughter) Guy must be screaming at his grave. Honestly, I could see in universe, a lot of characters joking about him and he would go down in history as an unreliable source, akin to Alex Jones. A posthumous laughing stock, who’s own greed got him killed and now, a lot of his own assertions being debunked. Lockwood definitely got the last laugh on him.
Pretty excited of course, but the part that really interests me is the “hidden for decades” bit on the island! This reminds me a lot of Valley Of Gwangi with the hunt for the allosaurus, except to find something for medicine (?). No clue what that bit could be but interesting.
Makes me wonder if this mission to extract genetics from these dinos is to help humankind from a deadly disease going round the world (DX perhaps??) and thats why they are in a race to extract the genetics from the Dinos to come up with an antidote? Im also totally on board with the idea that Dinos are dying out due to Dinos not being able to adapt to the planet, but only able to in the equatorial part of earth. This plot sounds a lot better than the last 4 movies we have had, and more realistic. Also, the shocking secret they uncover sounds like the human/ Dino hybrid idea that was mooted years ago and if its merely referenced and not over done then that would be another part of the movie if be on board with. Really glad Koeps back on board as writer, he is the only writer in the francise who truly understands the Jurassic universe. I seriously cannot wait
Cant wait to check back on your channel for updates lol. You do the best JP content and I've been a loyal viewer since 2017 (when Jurassic World Evolution came out in the PS4 days) Love the content mate! I'd love to perhaps record a zoom chat with you for my channel and talk about the franchise some day
Regarding the animals: 1. Mososaurus HAS to be the one. People already like it a LOT and wasn´t used to its full potential in the sequels. So to go with another creature would be dumb. 2. Wasn´t Quetzalcatlus the biggest pterausur that existed? Again, no need to go for another one when in Dominion you blinked and missed it. ...my point is that while watching new dinosaurs is great there´s no need to keep introducing new ones when they exist already great ones that weren´t used. As for the third... it should be Spinosaurs...unless they want to go with the biggest T-Rex there is. The story seems good enough as it plus the "surprise" creature.
...I guess I should have learned my lesson by now: Stuff that speaks big tends to fall short. Like, seriously? Dinosaurs dying out because they were unsuited for the world climate? There were dinosaurs living in snowy regions in Mezozoic. Hell, Blue, Beta, a Pyro, Paras and Apatos were doing just fine in Dominion. Way to throw the build-up from the past two movies into the fire. And the three largest creatures thing just doesn't even make sense. It sounds like the plot of a saturday morning cartoon, and not even the good kind.
Man, it feels like everybody is so ready to just lambast this movie to hell and back. I get that the last few weren’t too great, but Jesus at least wait until it’s released to give opinions like this.
Ehh. Wishing it the best, but not really excited after hearing that synopsis. Sounds like they are going the heavy action route again after saying the franchise will be going back to its roots. Would've really liked just a stand alone film set in the Jurassic Park era like a prequel or film set in between Jurassic Park and Lost World or Lost World and 3.
Sigh. The creators of JW trilogy realized it was high time to move on from "Escape from the Island Full of Dinosaurs" because that was overdone to death in this franchise; it reached the creative dead end. And here we are, going back to the same Island plot -_- Another Soft reboot of JP? This will feel so repetitive unless they really blow me away with the plot. Nuking dinosaurs from most areas of Earth tells me the creators overreacting based on criticism JW:D got. The main limiting factor where dinosaurs could live is access to food and temperature. No one would convince me that feathered dinosaurs would not be able to live in Europe, Asia, or North America. Small, feathered therapods would thrive in this environment. It's a regression of what we know about the dinosaurs living in different climates. The movie needs to address it smartly because many dinosaur fans would call BS on that.
Thanks for the info! Sounds like the world leaders have realized what's happening with the dinosaurs & made the areas they're inhabiting "off limits to humans." Most likely having to "re-home" millions of people in the process to fully quarantine dino habitats. In doing so, a new illness is wreaking havok & a pharmaceutical company has employed Scarlett to get some DNA samples. What I know is, I'm looking forward to this even more now. So many awesome possibilities for plot.
I do believe the sinister thing might be some new experiment that the Ingen company must be doing to gain back their lost reputation. Some operation that has horribly gone wrong and has been covered up, until our leads found it in this movie. Might be that Ingen is giving it another shot and hence the name rebirth..... might be some kind of a new park with somethings or creatures that we have never seen or imagined before.
This is the first time a movie has been set in the "future." JP:1993. It takes place in 1993. TLW:JP. It takes place in 1997, etc, etc. It releases 3 years after JWD, but takes place 5 years after JWD. IDK, sounds kinda interesting.
The main concern I have is the plot being about retrieving genetic material from the dinosaurs, because it sounds too much like a video game or some fantasy quest. "Collect the 3 sacred keys from the 3 colossal dinosaurs, only then will mankind flourish!" Like it's Link from Legend of Zelda collecting the 3 spiritual stones so he can get the master sword. It gives the impression that once again the movie won't be very grounded, and it will end with dinosaurs partnering up and killing the "villain" dinosaur and roaring victoriously.
This looks and sounds very appealing. I personally have always been a fan of the sci fi horror aspect of Jurassic park and would love to see more of that
Thanks for the info, I really don’t care much about all those details, I enjoyed every single one of the movies and I’m looking forward to seeing more dinos on screen! 😊❤
This synopsis sounds pretty good to me. I like the idea that the dinosaurs are struggling to adapt to the current environment especially because they from a different geological time period when the oxygen in the atmosphere was much higher. Makes sense they’ll migrate to the more tropical areas. It reminds me of the scene in the Jurassic park novel where Ian Malcom explains why a stegosaur was struggling to breathe. I have high hopes for this film. I’d like to believe it’s going to be good. Dominion was a very weak ending and this franchise deserves much better than that.
I like the idea of dinosaurs migrating to regions more suitable for themselves but know I feel like it will end up being discrediting everything in Dominion and Chaos Theory and despite Dominion being not the most loved you need to at least be consistent, a more likely answer is that poaching and human intervention drove all these dinosaurs to the tropical regions.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this film. But i kinda trust myself to say this is gonna be a good film. Also Klayton, can you talk about the upcoming Primitive War that got announced a few days ago?
Your videos always get me excited for this stuff, and I have the feeling that it might be a favorite of mine if it goes well. Everyone knows JP1 is the best, but I feel like I’d love this in the way I love TLW or a more cult classic like JP3.
Some insight on the new plot from someone who studied biotech: The science in this franchise has been distorted to a point that would have Crichton rolling in his grave. All good science fiction is based in our current science, but extended slightly forward. Too much of this description already goes against basic established scientific principles regarding how biotechnology and genetics work. There is not a single “dinosaur” on the planet that was not brought back through the recreation of its fragmented genome. That fragmented genome was sequenced and reconstructed in software, which means that every genome of every “dinosaur” is already stored digitally, which means that any “dinosaur” gene or genome could be recreated at any time without the need to obtain a sample from the living organism. Also, there are hundreds of thousands of extant species, many of which contain genes similar to those of dinosaurs, that could also hold the key to curing disease. To go one step further, any genetic disease (and possibly others) would be eradicated using gene therapy and without the need for drugs in a world that has mastered biotechnology. With the development of the mRNA-based covid vaccines, we have already seen that a researcher in our world can be given a digital sequence and use that digital sequence to create an mRNA molecule that can produce a protein product in vivo. The entirety of InGen’s (or anyone else’s, for that matter) decades of genetic research - all versions of all genomes, with annotation - could fit on a high capacity flash drive. To think that that intellectual property wasn’t backed up in triplicate in multiple secure locations requires an incredible suspension of disbelief. I already had a hard enough time believing that Wu needed the Indominus rib. Biosyn, probably, but Wu, definitely not. And even if anyone recovered any genetic material from a living “dinosaur”, that genetic material would already be patented. (Crichton actually covered the complexities of gene patenting in his novel, “Next”.) While most of you are worried about paleo-accuracy, the biotech-accuracy is abysmal. i am not looking forward to this being that dumb right out of the gate. That being said: If it’s going to be this stupid, I hope that it’s at least fun.
Mind if I leave a reply here so I can come back to this comment for future reference? I already knew Jurassic Park's (the films, not the novels) understanding of biotech was terrible, but you've given me a new perspective on the science of these films.
Jw: We are a trillogy used to bring dinosaurs out of islands to mainland JwR: Ok idfc I´m not very happy with that. It make the world trilogy looks like a waste of time. If they didn´t want dinosaurs on mainland they could have made a prequel instead...
Gonna bomb hard, just calling it now. We’ve had three Jurassic World films now - with one dividing everyone and the negative reviews being *_WAY_* more vocal than the positive, followed by two of the absolute most hated sequels *_EVER MADE._* At this point, I’ll be *_AMAZED_* if *_ANYONE_* comes out of a Jurassic Park movie liking it *_EVER AGAIN._* And yeah, Gareth Edwards and Scarlett Johansson. Big deal. Sure, they’ve had mostly big hits, but then look what happened with Black Widow and The Creator. Bombed hard, just like nearly everything nowadays. Sure, you get an Oppenheimer, an Inside Out 2 or a Deadpool & Wolverine every now and then, but then how many of The Flash, The Marvels, Morbius or Transformers: Rise of the Beasts have we gotten. Sayonara, Jurassic Park. And Sayonara, Gareth Edwards’ career.
@@rhedosaurus2251 But let's be real, that's probably gonna bomb too, seeing as DC can't make a successful film series to save their lives, unless its Batman..
@@awesomeproductions7755 Except that I see FAR more people having optimism for it then this. Besides, WB *FINALLY* has a solid leader in the form of James Gunn, and we now know that he, NOT Kevin Feige, was the mastermind, or at least one of them, behind the MCU's success back when it was good. Not only that, but it's been stated by him many times that this is a new timeline and a fresh start. Universal hasn't done that, which if we're gonna be honest, is crippling.
Couldn't agree more about your hopes for Rebirth. I also completely agree with your take on Romulus. Decent movie, probably the best since Aliens, but it's definitely also a competantly made highlight reel that borrows way more than it should.
I just read about this and am so excited! Looks like this is gonna actually be what we wanted dominion to be. I hope it delivers. I'm intrigued to see the new cast and what they're capable of.
I honestly would’ve preferred a movie set in the future with dinosaurs dominating the planet with more of a planet of the apes post apocalyptic setting
This sounds kinda like the plot of Ark, you gotta go fight the 3 Titans to secure their dna to save the day. But the twist is probably that they're unknowingly doing this to secure dna for a company to create more dinosaurs.
To be honest, it sounds promising! Way better plot than the 2 previous ones. As you said, it feels like a mix of TLW and JP3 which is great. I just hope that this movie will have a more horror and serious tone. My only concern is that because of the pretty "large" group of people that are going to be stuck on the island (Zora and her team & the family), the movie will maybe try and make one or some of these characters the "funny ones", like Franklin on Fallen Kingdom. Personally, I don't want that, I find it irritating! But that's just an assumption of mine and I hope that the movie will prove me wrong.
The three collosal dinosaur thing is interesting. If it's sea-air-land, it'll really be Mosasaurus - Quetz and some Sauropod like Dreadnoughtus. But i have a feeling all of them will be land animals, and two of them would be Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus.
Interesting? Please. Come on! It sounds like a game quest, not the plot for a movie. Michael C. Is currently spinning so fast in his grave, he’s drilled through the core of the earth.
Watch them introduce a hollow earth like Godzilla x Kong to continue milking the franchise. They fill it with new, ridiculous creatures but with the Jurassic Park name to draw in fans and dollars.
