Hey guys!!
So I wanted to share my thoughts on the new Kat Von D Shade Light Glimmer Palette. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and have been playing with it off and on since and I wanted to share my thoughts on it, as I am a big supporter of the brand and LOVE the Shade/Light line as a whole. I even picked up the cream contour palette and will be doing a review and demo of that as well.
As far as the palette goes, I DID in fact have the shade names wrong and will have them swatched and correctly named on my blog which will go live later tonight if you are an early bird.

I love your eyeshadow 101 videos. They have really helped me blend. I get all kind of compliments now on my eye shadow! I'm getting better at creating looks now that I understand how to blend a little more. THANK YOU so much!

I love the palette and use it as a companion to the matte palette and have created some gorgeous looks with it, the glimmer brush is a must. Cinder is my favourite with black and the lazarus shade from the matte palette, lovely on brown eyes.

Ok your eyeballs 👀 look amazing as always! Your teaching videos have definitely made a huge difference in my make up game! Especially the eyeshadow/which brushes to use ones 💜💜 I have some hooded eyes like yours and seeing how amazing you make your eyes look make me realize with practice I can eventually create some amazing looks!! Another GREAT review so, thank you!! I totally agree w/ ur thoughts on this palette; the glitter/shimmer shades were kinda lack luster & seemed chunky (strange w/ not much pay-off)! You hit the nail on the head when you said, "sometimes you have to sacrifice creativity for functionality" (sorry, if those weren't ur EXACT words)!! Might I add that ur face makeup looks flawless (as usual) & soft/ethereal! Love the random hooded-eyes tips throughout ur videos, too, thank you!! I can't wait for the KVD: Shade&Light-Cream Palette-Review... I definitely will be waiting to see ur review, before purchasing. ❤️

I love the look you did! I have similar feelings about this palette and I've went back and forth with myself about returning it. I was so hyped to get it to go along with my matte Shade and Light palette! But I agree it's not much color variety and some of the shadows have massive fallout. I use TF Glitter glue for the glitter shadows and they look pretty but still a lot of cleanup needed from the fallout.Glad to hear someone else feels the same as I do.

Dear gorgeous Whitney, can you please do a video consisting of "kits" for an everyday makeup look, maybe a series of videos with "kits" for different looks? I have SO much makeup and I'm trying to declutter my vanity and would love some ideas of what I could keep out and what to store away. Thanks!

whitney hedrick like a basic foundation, what formula you would recommend (powder, liquid, cream). For a daily look, would you recommend bronzer and contour, or maybe a double duty product? Maybe a basic eyeshadow palette or single eyeshadow recommendations that you could get a few different looks with. For a daily makeup look, which eyebrow products... I think it would be awesome to get your thoughts on daily products. Items we can keep in a bag on our vanity (or wherever we put our makeup on) that would have all our makeup products for an everyday look. It would be awesome to get your take on this.

Yes, sweetie, you have the names transversed. Also, you're spot-on in your comparison of the glitter shadows and the Natasha Denona; they were created to be used as "toppers." Also, the top three larger shades are a satin finish, I believe. I've thought about getting this palette, simply because I adore all of KVD's shadows, so far, but the reviews have held me off. Totally agree. This is actually the first Kat Von D powder eyeshadow product that I didn't absolutely love. It was a disappointment.

I just got mine yesterday, but I think I am going to return it. I was disappointed that some of the colors were exactly the same and others were so patchy.

I'm bummed about this palette I always miss KVDs eyeshadow releases, never got my hands on the Metal matte palette, pastel goth or the Mi Vida Loca palette so I grabbed this when it came online at Sephora. I returned it because I had such a hard time packing on the shades with glitter. I didn't want it to sit in the back of my drawer collecting dust but I still love her products and I couldn't go without the shade n light matte palette either!

I really liked the glimmer palette. The colors do muddy up a little for me. I had better luck with the color payoff when I bought the brush that goes with it. Good review though!

Great review. Yeah....completely agree! Saw a live swatching a few weeks ago and the person had to work really hard to get the shadows to show up. I LOVE KVDs palettes, but I'll take a pass on this one. I'm sure I have similar shades. Imo, a day late and a few dollars short!

I don't THINK so....but I'm not sure. One of them is a random Palladio brush that was like $4 from Sallys that I use ALL the time and yes...that sounds like a great idea :)

Why was I unsubscribed when I'm obsessed with and watch all of your videos (insert glare emoji here) .... I hated this palette as well. It was definitely disappointing to me when I started playing with it. I think it was just because I was expecting more.

Not to upset you, but the last 3 videos .. I've had to search your name/ channel and literally go into the videos to see if you've put out a video and subscribe over again ... I've bing watched your videos for quite a while, like all videos and have saved your teacher type videos ... yet your no where to be found in my feed / subscriptions. But 10 year old girls doing makeup I've never watched or have a desire to watch are showing up in my suggested feed. I'm very particular on who I watch and am subscribed to... and what you tube is suggesting is wayyyyyy off from what I've watched and go to... so RU-vid needs to let us keep who we want and stop jacking around with our shit, if RU-vid removes me as a subscriber again from you... well I don't know what I'll do.. hahaah but I won't be happy!
