I am not a professional driving instructor. Just wanted to share the driver's course because I find it to be interesting and nontraditional. I hope it helps! Good luck out there! #newkendmv #newkensingtondmv #dmv #driving #roadtest
commenting so anyone who’s taking their test soon knows this is in fact up to date pretty much exactly. took mine recently and failed so here’s the test timeline and what i messed up on. 1. driver instructor tells you to roll down your window and steps out to demonstrate your turn signals, hazards, windshield wipers, brights, etc -just know the functions and ins and outs of the car you’re taking the test in 2. parallel parking -i was already good at parallel parking, just messed up a little during my test. if you’re getting too close to the curb when backing in (like i did) make sure you start cutting your wheel to the left a little sooner. mostly just practice this part. 3. road test -whole route in this video is basically the same, but a variation is to take a right after coming off of the bridge into the neighborhood the road test is in, taking a left, then going straight and turning left onto washington. -when doing this variation, just make sure you don’t slow down/stop when making that right on to washington even if it makes sense -when coming off of washington to go to the cul-de-sac, yield to any traffic and creep up to see past the trees that’s it!!! honestly this road test was kind of weird and don’t feel bad if you failed it the first time. i drove successfully for well over 65 hours and still failed because of the odd things they want you to do on this road test. good luck! :)
Just took the test, its the same route. I just make a right instead of a left at the bridge. Washington have need road and you don’t have to stop at the end of Washington because there is no stop sign.
I just took the test had to make the right but messed up on the round about , I found this video and I feel more confident on my second try coming up !
My test is 2maro I had gone up to this device to watch ppl take there parking test and followed them thru the driving test. And yep this is 4sure the test area. I would have 4sure failed had I not known about that Area on the road that looks like a a caltisack(i can't spell it) i was wondering y the girl that past the test had paused cuz I didn't know u guys wanted us to stop instead of continuing around it. Plus after putting the right turn signal on do we follow the curb and go around it or turn in the middle of it?
I take my test on November 17th 2023. Do you have to stop on the four way intersection going both routes? And should you go the 45 speed limit before entering over the bridge? Thank you
The distance between the right turn onto 366 to the left to the bridge is pretty short. You probably shouldn't try to get up to 45 mph. That's why I recommend waiting for a large opening in the traffic so you don't have to come to a stop at the bridge without giving the people behind you time to prepare your turn.
Not sure I understand your question. When leaving the DMV paring lot and taking the right onto 366/Greensburg Rd the lefthand turn on to the bridge that is Lincoln Beach is just a few seconds away. The video isn't edited.
I would say neither 3pt or U turn. When you turn right into the circle, then left back to the flow of traffic, stop perpendicular to the flow before you take the left and get back into the road going the other direction. Hope that is clear
