I also am a New Kids blockhead. They weren't only that cute boy band in the late 80's early 90's Time has proven they are amazing artists and to this day STILL come out with new great songs! Let's go Blockheads!! 2024 still going strong ❤️
This group is by far thee BEST boy band ever! And it's amazing how they stayed together after ALL these years as the originals, no new or different members. Another thing that is so amazing about these guys is that they never let alcohol or drugs effect them personally or as a group- now that, speaks magnitudes of greatness!
One of them did get the boot from the group because of anxiety and stage fright. But then Jon came right back to his first love which was music. 🤗🤗🤗Jordan and Jon did have stage fright and performance anxiety but Jon's anxiety and stage fright was way worse than Jordan's anxiety and stage fright.
Please Don't Go Girl and this song never get old. I love these guys, maybe a little too much. They are so great to their fans. So glad I finally got to see them in concert...one of my childhood dreams.
Oh my. 29 years ago I watched this video many times before "Step by Step" came out in the spring of 1990. I was a diehard fan in late 1989... Memories...
Man, Jordan had quite the voice for his young age back in the day. I was too young to notice but now that I'm older, no male singer at that age today holds a candle to Jordan's voice. It's like groups and singers back then were much more talented than what we have today.
Not like they do.....but they really did. There is talent now but not near as much as back then, in other genres too. It's a shame but that's the world now
Mmh, you know, there are a great many awesome male singers today, too. Not bashing Jordan Knight, he’s awesome! Just, the circumstances were different back then, too. With NKOTB, their producers cast a LOT of young guys to create a well-balanced boygroup. Like „the voice“, but behind the scenes. Just imagine they had Ryan Tedder, Axl Rose and Nate Ruess together in a band!
NKOTB We ❤❤❤❤ U..... Jesus blessing u all...🙏🙏🙏
I grew up listening to their songs and I still do. It brings back a lof of good memories of my childhood. Would love to go back to those days. Those were the best days. Miss it so much! They will always be my favourite band.
These guys are soooo underated. Beautiful voices, preform their asses off, great dancers and good looking af! All American!! I dont think even the beatles can touch them with overall talent.
We are part of this wonderful story. Since 1985 I follow the career of this legendary Band. Those of us who live the 80s and 90s are privileged to have been able to enjoy the times when music and its lyrics were an inspiration to love and dream for your girl. Today in October 2020 I still feel the same feeling as more than 30 years ago. I pay a heartfelt tribute to the career and musical trajectory of these Boys who gave us and continue to give us eternal joys. Thanks eternal friends and brothers of the best musical group.
Joey too. Joey still sings on broad way today. They both were kinda the voices that carried the group. Donnie was an amazing hype man, he LOVED the crowd, got them excited. They all played a part but Jordan and Joey were the clear talent. Danny can dance like crazy break dance particularly. I think John was just kind of Jordan's brother and Jordan said if he cant come I wont come 🤣
@@eonkshabonk Actually, it was Jonathan who wanted to be there and he told Jordan that Jordan wasn't going to do it without him! 😁 Surprising, I know. Jonathan even admitted it back in the day on Oprah, like shortly after they had the Hangin Tough breakthrough and right before they got so big before they started internationally touring.
@@eonkshabonk And your right, though about the other stuff and they're still going today, however. Donnie can rap and rhyme real good and sing way better now, although he did do good back then as well. Danny can sing he just doesn't do it that often, but he does do all the bass vocals and spoken words. Most of their songs would be nothing without Danny though. Jonathan os good for singing for back round and filling in, especially now a days.
@@ilovenoodles7483 I guess I have to re watch the Oprah visits again I dont remember that. I remember Donnie talking about how they were all childhood friends (except for joey) and Donnie got them all together and presented them to Maurice. At the time it was Marky Mark instead of Joey. I also know their big break came when Maurice had them sing at the legendary and notoriously hard to please crowd of the Apollo Theater. They loved them and the rest is history. Danny can sing bass but hes replaceable( obviously not now that this is who we know and love)is what I meant. To me personally all bass singers sound similar. I do however stand corrected about Donnie he actually can sing much better than I realized!! I also realized through watching more live performances that even though John doesnt have a ton of lead vocals he actually is the one most likely to sound just like the album when singing live! They all have talent in some way but the clear best singers are Joey and Jordan. The best showman back then was Donnie and Jordan. Again the best dancers were Jordan and Danny. I was wrong to sa uh that Joey and Jordan were the "clear" talent. I'm a Joey girl so that's to be expected. When I said the piece about Jordan not coming if they didnt bring John I was speaking more to the fact that John's anxiety would hold him back. Even though in the end it never did. Now when I watch old stuff it amazes me how big they were I was 7 in 1989 and the world wasnt so connected then. I knew I was obsessed and that I wanted to cry when I saw Joey knowing I would never marry him. I didnt understand the magnitude of what they were as a commodity though. They were constantly compared to Beatle Mania. What a time to be a kid there was still magic in the air because we werent so up each other's asses on social media, it left some stuff to the imagination, and kept me wanting more because I didnt see them all the time too. I have steered too far from the subject while reminiscing lol
Jordan's knights voice in this song is just amazing and I think he's amazing as much as I grew up listing to there music and songs it's amazing I'm still a fan after all these years.
I wonder how many people forget how awesome Jordan Knight was ... boyband stuff aside, as an individual performer he's off the charts [or at least, was]
Inilah New Kids On The Block yg menyanyikan I'll be missing you yg mempunyai penampilan yg sangat keren jadi meskipun mereka menyanyikan lagu yg berirama cepat atau lambat , selalu kelihatan bahwa mereka itu jago dance dan ditunjang juga dengan suara yg merdu dari masing - masing anggotanya makanya komplit deh .dan saya merasa banyak dari boyband yg sangat terkenal saat ini yg terinspirasi oleh mereka terutama dalam hal dance . dan apakah teman - teman tahu pada jamannya mereka itu sepertinya ngga ada saingan dan saya adalah salah satu penggemarnya karena saya sangat suka dengan penyanyi yg bukan hanya mengandalkan suara tapi juga koreografi
New Kids on the block were the absolute shit back in the day. Unless u were around back then early to mid 90s u have no idea how big these guys were. I remember hanging the posters on my wall from all the teenie bop magazines, t shirts to water bottles, dolls, & even candy everybody wanted a piece of them. ALL the chicks loved Jordan the most I remember I wanted to be just like him cause the girl I has a crush on in school absolutely adored Jordan
I had this on video, I kept it at my grandma. On weekends I would go to her house and play this video over and over and over and over....especially this song. My grandma couldn't take anymore so one weekend I came and looked for my videos....they were gone. My grandma said she hid them. I never did get those tapes back....she too that secret to her grave. By the way I just realized I was on my boyfriend's you tube. Lmao
I first saw her on TV on TV in 1991. I was 12 years old and the first song I saw was Step by Step. I was still tempted by their beauty. Especially Jordan's adolescent face
Omg! Look at the swagger on Jordan Knight. I forget how cute these boys were. My teenage dream NKOTB. Joey McIntyre, Donnie Whalberg, Danny, Jordan. Jonathan.
So happy to hear these songs and know that Donnie’s Mom Alma had a lot to do with the guys you are, and the depth of the love in your songs must have been inspired by family and friends frowning up.. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. Please keep singing or get back together every once in awhile to regroup so your fans can also stay on solid loving ground in America. You guys have it all. Love you. Peachie from Jersey - a Mom like Alma who is for family and our kids.
I was 16 when they came out. But, I didn't know about them tell I was 18. Been *Loving Them Forever. * Since. :) Very neat that you get to grow up with a Band and they are still around to enjoy them. :) I had my whole bedroom covered with their posters even my Ceiling with Jordan, Donnie. I was a Blockhead then still one. lol.
Danny Wood is my BFF & New Kids On The Block we shared many great moments together.... Will Treasure For Life 😘💞 Until We Meet Again Guy's. God Bless XOXOXOXO
