I woke up this morning with this song in my head lol. (2024) I still think my favorite Donnie, is a cutie pie here. I can still remember waking up around 5 am for school, showering, doing my hair, and listening to the whole cassette. I can still smell the Exclamation perfume, Aussie hair spray, the hot curling iron, and the smell of my clean Levi's. (At 46yrs old) Ahhh...those were the days!

So I can state that as a young girl in the is time period, I could never understand why my Mom though Donnie was hot (my mom was in her 20s) I was head over heels for Joey. (Still am 😔) Then, my teenage cousin loved Jordan what I'm trying to convey is I think it depends on your maturity level sexually. I was 7 in 1989 so Joey was a natural pic for me.

Seen the concert last night in Chicago. It was so heart touching to see them live after growing up with them.. WAS SO MUCH FUN! Ever one is so talented .. I was obsessed with them back in the day. Posters, t-shirts, trading cards, folders, VHS and cassette tapes....Yeah they were that good and that cute....Their music still hits hard 30 yrs later.....One of the Best Boy bands ever, PERIODT!!!

Admitting I liked these guys would have filled my life with ridicule. Kind of the way HS is, I suppose. But when I came home and flipped on MTV, I was stoked to see an NKOTB video.

This is absolutely the best song from New kids. I know they are no longer popular but this song is still so incredible. I remember being about 11 and sitting along the wall at skateland USA holding my girls hand while this song played. The only responsibilities I had was passing 6th grade. Nostalgia I will never forget. I would give anything to go back and live that again.

I still remember seeing Joey round 1999 in downtown Hamburg/Germany where he gave an interview during a radio or TV show behind a big window of a shopping mall....it was the time of his first solo album. I was on my way to lunch and was wondering, why so many girls were screaming in front of that window....it was Joey in a good mood and I still have that image in my mind: even from the distance you could see that dude really has BLUE EYES! Bluer than blue...they must shine even in the darkness 🙂
