Square Enix reported they’re recently dropping exclusivity deals in general and Japanese game devs have fully realized the importance of the PC market now, so I’m thinking it’s almost guaranteed. Sales of the EGS release of KH1 and KH2 were probably well below Square Enix’s expectations anyway, and Alan Wake 2’s underwhelming PC sales only adds to the idea that “EGS exclusivity is a bad idea even on PC”

I’m wondering, that version of Simple and Clean in the Steam trailer… do you think they’ll use that in the intro cinematic for KH4? Seems odd that they’d make it for just a Steam release trailer.

Usually mainline kh games tend to have brand new songs while the side games have remix versions of mainline songs. So most likely that new version was just for the collection coming to steam

Pretty much everything coming out of Japan for the next decade will be on Switch 2. Diminishing returns have all lead up to this moment that the power of switch 2 is enough for developers needs because resolution and frame rate can always be upgraded on the other consoles.

I think these leaks are real. Square Enix is of course going multiplatform. And because of how good a record this leaker has, for example with Persona, he was right with Persona 3 Reload and its DLC. persona 5 phantom x. If they giving kingdom hearts 4 a online feature it should be like birth by sleep, but we could play as sora, riku, kairi, ventus, aqua, terra, roxas, axel, xion, or hopefully mickey. Nomura said he would like a multiplayer in kingdom hearts 3, so why not put it in 4? Also hope to see more final fantasy characters I wantt to see freya from final fantasy 9 interract with aqua or roxas, but if FF9 characters does show up then maybe ff9 remake could be in the works.

The game probably doesn't look that much better in terms of image quality compared to the original trailer. Midori isn't familiar with Kingdom hearts (self admitted) so she probably doesn't know that KH4 will have multiple styles, it's probably the disney world thing. Switch 2 seems like the most exciting system of next gen, hoping pretty much every third party game can get a decent port even if there's compromises from the next gen home console ver.
