As a 4th Degree Knight, I stand for the traditional Regalia. It’s utterly elegant and beautiful. It symbolizes the history of our Order. Save the Regalia, Wear the Regalia. Vivat Jesus!
this new suit and tie , is almost the same as the Canadian legion , bring back the old regalia and the ceremonies, the young men need these things as anchors , the supreme officers have lost the wat of the knights , listen to us , I am 4th degree , I will be buried in my regalia
THE NEW 4TH DEGREE UNIFORM IS NOT APPROPRIATE BECAUSE THE COAT TROUSERS AND CAP BELONG IN DIFFERENT SETTINGS . IT DOES NOT GO WITH THE SWORD AT ALL. THE WEAPONRY FOR THE NEW SUIT IS MORE APPROPRIATE WITH A FIRE ARM. i DID NOT EARN THE CAP AND WILL NOT PUT ONE ON MY HEAD. THE SUIT I WOULD WEAR AT A MEETING OR SOCIAL EVENT.
Very disappointed at Supreme and their failure to grandfather Sir Knights with the regalia. The 3d world unnamed army uniform is confusing to most parishioners, mistaken by the public as some foreign military, or a militant vigilante organization. Sad that 77 years of worldwide recognition was cast aside for profit to Supreme (the exclusive dealer of uniform sales). I am a Veteran and know how to wear a uniform...most Knights resemble an undisciplined 3d world national guard army. Our Supreme Knight failed leadership 101, with this poorly communicated and executed change to the uniform. Progressive leadership as demonstrated by this decision and others (UKnight law suit, quick membership without verification, open insurance to anyone willing to pay, etc) Have resulted in 20% of Sir Knights wearing the 3d world uniform. My Regalia, and my Flag Pin will remain available upon request. My disappointment with Supreme was successful in forcing me to stand for what I know is right. In Texas we’ve said it before and I say it again “Come and take it!” We have deep roots in tradition, progressives are a flash in the pan!
I am not a member, but jyst my 2 cents.... the new uniform looks garbage... fraternal orns are all about tradition and the old uniform looked amazing... groups that try to "modernize" to attract youth are almost always in death throws... it never works, the uniform was iconic and now what was driving down membership, they are using it as a scapegoat for deeper issues they are too cowardly or not introspective enough to address... from what I have heard from others, the biggest reasons for not joining are too many and too long meetings, tryi g to be sold insurance non stop, not enough emphasis on primary mission of brotherhood and community service... fix those and get better outreach and younger memebers will join, bring back the old uniforms, fix the fundamentals and save the KoC!
ihave the same anger towards the new uniform.im pilot for the fourth degree and four hundred and fifty is to stiff a feee because they want to modernize.i may resign year after next.
