"being a blink must be really tough, just having to wait" yes, I can tell you that it is yes, I've been in the fandom since the beginning of their career, and many times I've suffered a lot, but the worst of all, really it was having to wait for 2 years to have their comeback, I literally cried missing them, after they released the album in 2020, they only came back in August 2022, I missed them a lot, I wanted to travel to korea to set yg on fire,i never thought i would go through this in my life, i joined the kpop world because of them, when they debuted in 2016, and to this day they remain my favorite group ever, along with ateez

24:38 A sad fact: in 2019 Goo Hara from Kara was trending becouse was the yoear that she commited suicide, so of course all the internet was talking about that, so sad that a young and talented person like her ended like that. And if im not mistaken Sulli of F(X) had the same fate dying that same year.

Sulli passed away first (10/14) and Hara few weeks later (11/24). They were each other’s best friend, including IU. IU lost three of her best friends that year.

The movie mentions 2NE1 YG's earlier group. They were the innovators of Girl Crush. First KPOP female group to do a world tour. First KPOP group to be on an American Chart. First female KPOP group to tour America. Then Yang publicly called the ugly. This was the basis of calling Blackpink the pretty 2NE1. In 2016 Mr. Yang disbanded 2NE1 just before Blackpink debuted. I like Blackpink but their success was prepared by 2NE1. Yes, Blackpink has had great success which is great credit to YG Entertainment. However, I recommend checking out 2NE1 and Gerls Genration to understand the complexity of 2nd Gen.

Having been a blink for 5 years now, I have been so irritated when YG doesn't release any songs of Blackpink that I crave for even a snippet of Blackpink.. Keep in mind when they showed up. It was just the right time. The pandemic hit hard. No one was going anywhere, no concerts, no clubbing, no movies, no restaurants. All you had was the internet. and THEY showed up just KILLING every appearance. The entire world was thirsty for Blackpink. because of the kpop fans from other fandoms. At that time most YG artist are not visually acceptable. Thats why at that time YG artists though are very talented but still can't beat SM and JYP popularity. People used to call them(YG artists) ugly. So YHS used that ugly word as a reference from kpop fans as a jokes and motivation . You should watch the full documentary/video (i forgot the vid name ) to understand the contacts why he's saying that.
