Hey friends, welcome back to another in depth candle review. Let's take a journey through another one of the new Kringle Reserve Candles launching on June 20th, 2024 at Noon EST. Kringle Reserve Grilled PJ & J is one of the most authentic peanut butter and jelly sandwich scents ever, HOWEVER, the wicks on this one are a bit problematic and I want to make sure you know what you are potentially getting yourself into with this one. The kicker is on the Kringle candles that I can only burn for 2.5 hours, it makes it that much harder to get a throw going because I tend to notice that you don’t get a full throw from a Kringle until about 3 hours or longer. Oftentimes I’ll think “what a great throw right now” only to find it’s because it’s sooting like crazy

I burn many Kringles for hours just fine. But every once in a while I get a messy one. It’s usually the 3 wicks that can go south for me. They burn significantly hotter so I will refrain from burning those as long. Luckily this isn’t the norm for me but I hope they reformulate this one.

I don’t want anyone to be disappointed with this one. They are more expensive, worth it when they burn fantastically but this one is just not performing like normal. It’s a crocker for me going forward.

This has always been a reality for me with Kringle….certain ones can go for hours and certain ones soot after 2.5 hours. And if you look at the wicks, the ones that soot have the thicker wicks.

Love that! YUM! After I gave birth my nurse asked me what I wanted to eat and I actually told her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches was all that I wanted and so she had 5 brought up to the room and I devoured them lol. I like your idea of toasting with the peanut butter... YUM!

@@MrKongsMom funny (5) you worked up an appetite, and yes yum. I had some great apple butter that was great and some green chilies jelly that was great too. Making me hungry for pb&j😂

Hi Melanie, thanks for this review! Could you also please review Bonfire if possible? It apparently has cardamom & ginger notes which struck me as a bit odd. So I'd really appreciate your thoughts on it beforehand! Thanks.

Hey Mel! 😊 in your experience; would you say that certain candles (same scent) can have a one off? Or usually you find it’s a batch issue? And most likely they will all perform the same way? I am so interested in this scent 😊 but wouldn’t get it if all wicks are not good in all the batches. I don’t do crocks, but have a candle warmer; would that work ? Thanks ❤

I am not finding an issue with most of the other's from this particular release. Normally I do not personally have burn issues with most Kringle candles. The two wick tumblers have a fantastic burn normally but they used some different wicks for this one. I do know different formulations require different candles. Country Candle can still have some problems but I know they are working on those. You could certainly pop this one under a warmer.

I really don’t understand why they are messing with wicks when they’ve been doing so well for so long. This one definitely gets HOT!! Thankfully for me I don’t care for the scent either which makes me so sad but also happy at the same time I won’t feel sad when it sells out. 😂😂😂

I have a feeling that maybe they struggled to find the right wicks for this one. Changes in the oils can require a different wick potentially. It’s such a science sometimes. I wonder if they should have tested this one a bit more. I’ll crock it. I’d actually buy more to crock but I’m hoping it’s clearanced out at the end of the year.

@@MrKongsMom Same and if you burn it for too long the soot and risk for change in scent.
