Cons, a long history of being unreliable, more than any other make/model on the market. A Facebook group dedicated to 7/890 owners with failed cams before it's second 15,000 km service with varying responses from KTM warranty claims but almost all evolving months waiting on indefinitely back ordered parts.

Suspension is only stiff at low speeds. Ride this bike like it is designed for an the suspension is unbeatable.

Great review and really well-presented! I appreciate the thorough breakdown of the motorcycle's features and performance. However, I feel like a crucial aspect of an adventure bike is how it handles off-road or in more rugged terrains-where it truly shines. Testing it in a city setting doesn't fully showcase its capabilities. It would be fantastic to see how it performs in the environments it was designed for, like trails, dirt roads, or even mountainous regions. This would give potential buyers a clearer idea of its full potential. Thanks again for the review.

To me, thats probably the best looking bike but I'll never buy one. Too many deal breaker cons.

I agree with you about the suspension - there is plenty of travel (240mm) so why is it so hard?! The tyres are not a problem - simply fit the ones that suit you when the originals wear out.

Cons:terrible reliability camshafts are failing and nothing is done to fix it with a lot if other issues too,size feels small and cramped compared to competitors not bike for touring,price to high for what it is (made in china bike)

Its not made in china. And for reliablity: For the amount of fun im getting with his bike, i wouldnt even be mad spending 2k out of my pocket to get new camshafts installed. It is that good.

I dont get why people get hung up on that. The 890 Adv R is really competitively priced in the real world. Forget about MSRP, there are always good deals with KTMs. You get best in class suspension and like mentioned in the video, a best in class drivetrain, low overall weight and low hanging fuel tank.

pointing the obvious weird cons, is like saying its a cone to ride a bike in winter because its cold.

to me its pretty good on road, and way more offroad capable than I will ever need, it´s crazy how it goes thru hard stuff. About weight,...I have dropped a few times and if I can pick it up anyone can, height...If I ride it anyone can

Got a 2nd set of wheels with Conti Trail Attack 3s on, and its an absolute weapon on alpine roads and passes. With the slightly higher footspegs you get endless cornering clearance.

Where did you travel with this motorcycle, how many km did you do on the European TET, how many km did you do in the Sahara, for example, and how many off-road. No offense, the description of this engine without serious tests in extreme conditions (unfortunately for those of us who know this area very well) cannot be taken seriously.
