Great idea - wonder if it could work on removal of the spare wheel cover / wheel nuts so its triggered before the wheel is actually removedl??

Just doing this now. Couple of things to note so far. The door card doesn’t come off anywhere near as easily as is shown. I had to pull very hard to get it to release from the clips. And when feeding the wire in, it needs to be between the 2 skins and not right through the hole or else you’ll never get it. Only thing is that now that rubber grommet won’t fit as it pushes over the 2 skins. So I guess I will nick a bit out of the side of the grommet so the wire can come out the side of it

Have you noticed Land Rover have sent out mail to most Defender owners regarding a security suit upgrade! Apparently the latest security enhancements. It’s a free fit. But I’d love to know what is done. Any ideas?

Hello Simon! Off subject but have you heard of Discovery front lower trim panels being stolen? I have had to cancel the RRS AB Hybrid as it was uninsurable for under £3500 and I was given so many warnings not to buy one. Next is a 2023 Discovery P360…is that a good idea? I get a 360 mile round trip to find out on Sunday! Well done on the security work….JLR needs all the help it can get these days.😰😀😀😀😀Richard

With your wago connector if you turn it over it should have a mark on it to show how much wire needs to be stripped back👍

Brilliant - Neighbour had their rear wheel stolen at Gatwick Long Term car park So much for secure parking!!.

That’s ace,could use that for my spare wheel 🛞,but also my Thule bike rack that mounts on the tow hitch. Could run it through the e-bikes

Brilliant idea - JLR should take note and install as standard but then they wouldn’t sell so many replacement spare wheels!

I ran a Suzy cable through bikes between the bike rack and the car connections. When/if the plug was disconnected the car thought the trailer was being nicked sounded alarm. This was VAG but maybe LR has trailer monitoring?
