I noticed it, too. It's probably an engineering unit chassis not yet ready for production. The final product will probably be USB 4.0

Ikr, if the battery life and thermals are decent om that laptop its would be amazing.

its probably easier to use 13 inch + big display. it is now very easy to find massive display (30''+) online for less than 60 USD used or 100 USD new. this combo gives you better portability when going mobile or better productivity when pluged-in at office. I rarely see people constantly moving and work on heavy-lifting work (e.g. 3d modelling, software compiling, video rendering), and tbf I dont even want to open and use my 15'' on the tiny tray table on the airplane. 13''/14'' is just more reasonable.

16" tend to be more for workstation laptops not to thin and light ultrabooks

@@jeffersonmp4 Disagree, MacBook pro 16 nobody called workstation. Great laptop for software development. Small screen is not so good for programming.

New CPU is crazy good. I think we will see new trend on small form laptop with EGPU setup.

Lunar lake main focus is on thin and light laptops. Not gaming. Arrowlake laptops are incoming for gaming laptops.

​@@pneuma23093 Yup this is the reason, most thin & light laptop are trying to avoid dGPU cause it'd be another source of power consumption that reduce battery life. Which, you know, defeats the whole purpose of thin & light; with integrated GPUs getting stronger (maybe not dGPU level, but around handheld perf), I think it's sufficient when you do light gaming on the go without relegating your battery life to half an hour territory. Also these kind of devices aren't meant to be gaming heavy. And if you're talking 3D work and rendering, that's what encoder and stronger integrated graphics are for.

@@turbo_v Been waiting for this kind of performance and efficiency for a long time. If the claims are true, then the x86 = inefficient slander will cease to exist. Now for Microsoft to clean up their act and hopefully make a decent operating system for once.

These cpus are for efficiency, not gaming or heavy video editing

Yeah the iGPU is powerful. I believe Lunar Lake and Strix Point are both much more powerful than the Xbox Series S. Which isn’t saying much, but means you should be able to game on these things fine.

There will be two laptop chips, Lunar lake for small thin power efficient laptops, and Arrow lake for productivity/gaming laptops. The Arrow lake ones will be low power variants of the desktop line.

Since there is no review of lunar lake yet, I wouldn't trust intel blindly.

@@MatthewMoniz thanks Matthew, Im really having a hard time picking a premium light/midweight device with decent battery life.. Was eyeing the T14s AMD but of course its 60 hz and even our phones are 90+. Now with Ryzen AI and Ultra 200 having big improvements makes me wanna wait. I might get the Zenbook S 16. I like the 15in yoga but the design is horrible!
