There is NO sathi pratha in sanatan or hindu dharma. It was generated when mughals intervened in india so they could save women. You can see in mahabharat and ramayana. When did kaurvas' wife die with their husbands or Raja Dashrat when he died, Where did his wives die with him. It's because of this Islamist mughals we were facing this.

Pandu got seduced by her beauty and tried to get intimate with her despite her constantly reminding him of the consequences (He was cursed by a dying Rishi Kindama that the moment he'll try to get intimately close to a woman he'll die). Once Pandu died, she held herself responsible and decided to leave the mortal plane as well. If Sati had indeed been a practice prevalent at that time, then other queens of the Kuru dynasty would have done the same after their husbands’ deaths.

Infact look at the ancient hindu scriptures, women had their freedom in everything be it selection of groom or dressing. Sati pratha only started after mughal invasion as Islam allows men to have sex even with dead women until 6 hours as per hadis and quran and captivate women as slaves shared between multiple muslims. This is also the only reason why rajput women did jauhar because they knew even their dead bodies wont be spared, such was the horror of Islamists. Hindu women did that to save their dignity from Islamist invaders. Sanatan dharma as per vedas explicitly QUOTES and ENCOURAGES remarriage of a widow. Such is the purity and essence of Sanatan Hindu Dharma.

where did Sanathana Dharma said to follow sathi pratha, and ghoonghat where it is written can somebody tell me. The people who followed sathi pratha they had their own reasons to follow that according to their social circumstances at that time because of invasions, abduction, tribal clashes or goons abducting they used to do that.
