The long time owner of this 1977 Scout II spent his days as a pilot based in Arizona. It called an airplane hanger home as the pilot’s vacation vehicle. Our customer came to us with this Scout with tons of fun history and nostalgia. He kept the original Cessna sticker on the rear window as a token to its past, and entrusted us to do the rest. The original paint was in great condition due to desert conditions, so we kept it intact. We love saving original paint when we can… For the interior, we went with a Pendleton© print blanket for the door panels and headliner. This Scout II stayed manual to keep the driving experience alive, and got a shiny new R2.8 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine. Ready for take off once again!

Very nice build. I've been watching all your videos and checking out your web site. I have a 69 800A that I retro-modded 19 years ago. Still drive it. I swapped in a ISUZU 4bd1T with T-19 and dana 300. Scout II axles. It's a cool set-up. Wish you could drive it. It's a really big engine for the Scout though. The 2.8 is a much better fit. That stuff wasn't available when I did mine. Unless you've actually rebuilt an old vehicle it sounds a lot easier than it is. Much respect for your work. It's got to be truly rewarding on a personal level especially if you really like the vehicle you're restoring. There's quite a few scout II and a Scout 800 in the woods around here. Body's shot though. I've been thinking about trying to buy them just to get the parts back in circulation.

Man that thing looks so good!! I'm due to get my first a Scout in about a week, so hyped! I love the inside door panels do you guys supply these? Also love the wood grain look dash, is that something you guys are doing? Cheers!
