I do love the brick built dinosaurs with creative and clever techniques and piece usage, not to mention play features. For me, that's more appealing than a solid block of plastic in the shape of a dinosaur, since I'm buying lego after all!

Chaos Theory is a secuel/spinoff of Park Cretaceous, the characters in the sets are aged versions of that show.

I've been so excited about the updated, bigger, better dinosaur/pterosaur 3in1 set coming up!! I didn't know about the little baby ankylosaurus though! That's so adorable!!

The baby wins. Really like the motion with a small set. I'm not a huge fan of the normal big molds since a lot of them feel more like a regular toy versus LEGO. I do like the vehicles in the sets.

Some of these characters like Sammy and Bem are from the previous netflix Jurrassic show called camp cretaceous ;)

I do wish that Lego’s dinosaurs were built similar to Avatar or Ninjago’s beasts; Molded heads on a brick built body. However, these two new dinosaurs look really good. And I would die for Bumpy the ankylosaurus.

the baby ankylosaurus is not based on chaos theory, but it is based on the camp cretaceous series(first 2 seasons)

That Allosaurus was incredibly cheaped out on. Not a single claw painted, lack of any detail for the tail, the jaw isn't even tan to go along with the underside, it's just like Lego got lazy.

I like the big molded dinosaurs. I mean they scale pretty fairly when compared to the rest of Lego all things considered. And they brick built ones scale horribly or look really bad at smaller more accurate scales.

The reason the Allosaurus' jaw looks so goofy is because LEGO likes to reuse elements from other dinos to make less moulds. The jaw was repourposed from the baryonyx and i know this because i checked it with my own. Also it is a bit dissapointing that the new dinos dont have nail polish and that the stego doesnt have prints on its legs but WE HAVE PAPER BAGS!!!

The vehicle builds are so cool! It makes me want to buy these sets! The pre-molded dinosaurs are so menacing too! I'm gonna be broke...

that ankylosaurus is cute as fuck. a must buy. the rest don't interest me all. i kinda hate the solid molded lego dinos. i'd prefer brickbuilt versions any day.

These dinos are a bit too smooth for my taste. I understand we can't go back to the OG Dino Island theme style, but these feel a bit too modern in my opinion.

It looks like the series starts tomorrow, according to the poster from Netflix, so you could have waited a day or two to get to know the characters if you were interested in their minifigs. Looks like the series is a sequel to their previous series, Camp Cretaceous, so there are some returning characters as well. I was asking for set recommendations at the local Lego Store, and Jory recommended the T-Rex escape set due to the building experience and the details in the instruction book.

June 9, 1993 is the date of the official premiere of the original Jurassic Park movie... The movie came out in wide release on June 11. Simple as that ;-)

Since I don't see it mentioned: The show with Ben, Sammy, Kenji, Darius, Yaz, the Ankylosaurus (with the shortened ear bump, named "Bumpy"), and I'm assuming the vehicles/tree hideout all are ALREADY in a show called Camp Cretaceous, a full 5 season show that's already completed. It starts during the first Jurassic World movie where the camp of kids get left behind on Jurassic World island after the island gets abandoned due to the Indominous attack. We follow how they survive on their own on that island. These sets are missing one character though, named Brooklyn. NOW... if there's a sequel show with these characters aged up... I'm in :) And knowing the show, the Ankylosaurus set with Bumpy is the best of these three for me !!

I’m glad that Lego made an allosaurus, but I’m quite upset that it is a bit oversized, they made it as big as a T Rex, even bigger. It bothers me because my Lego t Rex already looks tiny next to my Lego carno, now the allosaurus is also bigger than T Rex makes Rexy looks so small.
