Update on the LEGO Zoo progress - the botanical garden is in position and some new planting has been added around the Zoo entrance. The water has arrived for the Zoo Botanical garden ready for adding soon!
During the Lego double-points weekend, I purchased some new sets that have some new LEGO animals in them. Some are great, one is a little annoying :-/

The red panda is epic. Yea the capybara seemed to make a bit of a sneaky entrance in an encanto set.. I got a stack of them off of Bricklink so we are set 😎

I feel like the capybara snook under the radar in those 3 Encanto sets. You can get them off of Bricklink easily 😊

I love the lego capybara they're so cute! I think the harry potter tarantula would look good as a stand alone statue to it you did a little platform or fence, but you're idea of having it on a building is far cooler!

I just bought the red panda set this week as well and I love the little creature! One of my favourite real life animals right behind the clouded leopard! First time commenting here but I wanted to say how much I love your zoo and how much you strive for realism within the constraints of Lego! I love watching your zoo grow! Amazing work! This popped up in me feed only for me to realize I'm a couple videos behind, so I'll have to watch those ones too. Glad you've got the animals, I picked them up myself a couple days ago. I'm really looking forward to the new gorillas comes in a month or two.

The gorillas are out already! I just didn’t want to spend £80-odd on the set just for the animals, so am waiting for them to appear on Bricklink 😎 can’t wait to see what animals are next!

@@ZooBricks I'm in the USA and the gorilla set doesn't come out until Aug 1 here, so I got a little over a month before I can get the. Lucky you've already got 'em! Nice. Heh. I agree the set isn't the cheapest, but for me not only do I want the critters, I also don't have any helicopter builds, so I'll probably get the set for that too.

If you want to include some Dinosaurs and ice age animals (though I could understand if you didn't, especially considering how overpriced the sets of the former are) you could frame them as one of those walk-around forests that some zoos have (like the ones at Calgery zoo) It could be a neat area to have if you ever need an excuse to go wild with foliage!

I think thats a great idea, dinosaur ‘sections’ have gained popularity in UK zoos for sure and I think there is a justification for them being there. I haven’t got a great deal of lego Dinosaurs to be fair 🤔 Would love to go to Calgary Zoo! It’s on my list 😊

Another great video! Have you thought about adding some fence around the greenery at the entrance? Perhaps using some Lego chain pieces. Just to add a bit of variation in colour and detail, that's all.

That’s a great idea - I don’t have a lot of chain in my bulk to be fair and have never priced it up, but they would make nice ‘rope-like’ standoffs for sure. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

I usually only collect Star Wars lego but Red Pandas are my favorite animals and it came in such a cheap set so I had to pick one up.

They are notorious for escaping, they can climb anything and they escaped multiple times during my time at Chester 😅

@@ZooBricks yea a quick Google search to refresh the story for me pulled up articles talking about it like 3-4 years after Sunny escaped. I hope she did alright but I don't have high hopes
