The room in the back seat in small cars is always overreacted. Nobody will buy this category car if you have 6 feet children or carry grown ups often. This is a car for 1-2 people, not a family car.

I quite like the look of it. Though i hate cars where you have to look down at the satnav. It should be closer to the line of sight. But great to see a premium small SUV at that price point. Plenty of stellantis cars at that sort of money and you would expect a much better fit and finish on a Lexus.
@marnuscoreyempanadaslooseb6760
I am pretty surprised to find myself saying that looks quite nice. As for the interior, it's actually unique. I have to say, I certainly didn't expect Lexus to position the touch screen where it is. The overall interior reminds me of the MG ZST (certainly not a bad thing) and a legendary Japanese car lost to time. The Mazda Cosmo of 1990. Very similar. The only real differences being the air vents are in place of dials in the wrap-around section, and there's a dedicated area for the instrument cluster. Like the Mazda Cosmo, the touch screen is positioned in a very similar place. Unlike the Cosmo, this Lexus actually has physical climate controls (Thank you, Lexus. At least someone has come to their senses). Yes, that's right. The Mazda Cosmo actually had touchscreen climate controls way back in 1990. You can use that next time for car pub trivia. Overall, I'll give Lexus a 9/10 for this. They've taken the crappy Yaris Cross and made arguably the best-looking small SUV on the market inside and out. Well done to Lexus. I hope they bring this to Australia (where I live).

We traded our BMW X3 for the NX450H+ fSport and we are delighted. In 6 months we have put 30 litres of petrol in it in 4500km. So we are looking to replace our second car with a differentiating small SUV and the LBX looks ideal. We would be looking for a plug-in hybrid or EV model with the best luxury fitment available. As late septuagenarians, we want a car that we don’t have trouble entering or exiting. We have an effective solar PV system with batteries that can cater for 2 plug-in hybrids. We are looking to make this next car our last car purchase and benefit from the longevity and maintainability of the Lexus brand.

Looks very good. Promo photos with different color options look even better than this one, especially that rose gold one. Interior looks decent, a step up from Yaris Cross for sure. I travel a lot for work and use a lot of rent'a'car. I drove Peugeot 2008 GT line for a week, then switched to Yaris Cross and that interior felt at least a decade older than 2008. So I hope LBX interior will be a big step up.
@alexs-ukhssourcingpartner4116
There's a toned muscularity about the surfaces. The interior, especially the roof lining, needs lighter coloured materials except for the top of the dashboard. I hope wind noise is non-existent. This will hit a sweet spot in the market particularly young professionals living in flats who have no home charging options. This is a similar market that the new Honda Civic Hybrid addresses. Similar price range too. This perhaps is less sporty than the new Honda Civic Hybrid but it makes up for that with the Lexus brand appeal and class leading quality interior.

Not so similar to the new Civic in tech - not a CVT in the Honda & it has a 2 litre engine with eCVT fwd in Europe and even full ice available in US. No phev coming etc. Format of the Honda differs again as it is family friendly spacious 4 seat cabin with large boot.

I think the LBX embarks less power (132hp) than a Lexus CT200H (136 hp). Compared to CT200H the LBX has less boot capacity. Interior-wise LBX’s infotainment is more intelligent, more fresher and refined than the late CT200H. We know that LBX replaces the CT200H as Lexus’s entry level and it is a crossover. My Lexus CT 200h have 375 litres of storage. Why they offer a small SUV with such ridiculous capacity?

Very small inside with no boot , poor 0-60 time starting at£29.999 for the base model seems like a awful lot of money for a small SUV

It looks more posh then the Toyota? Depends if you want a more standout car or more blander Euro box. I think it`s worth the £5 to £10 K more. Not much room for the golf clubs or Waitrose (maybe ALDI) shopping trips either.

The LBX logo on the trunk looks like it was put on blindfolded.
