I lived in New London/Groton CT for most of my life. I have always considered New London and Mystic CT extremely underrated historic locations. New London especially when it comes to buildings and architecture. You got Star St. which is the oldest street in CT. You got the post office that's filled with incredible murals depicting the history of whaling I'm the city. You got not one but two forts that you can visit that were major strategic placements in the revolutionary war.
I grew up in the Groton/New London area. When I was in my 20s... a zillion years ago 😂, I used to take reservations for Cross Sound Ferry. Five generations of my family grew up in New London.
It's great that you guys cover so much new territory! Your Florida and southern videos will always be my favorites, but it's great to see you guys in a lot of the northeast and up into Canada recently. I travel a lot for work in some of these states like Mass and Maine, but good old Dunedin FL is my home town. Connecticut's a funny state because it's so tiny, but there's a lot there if you know where to look.
Vermont is a good place if you like to tour shops and tourist sites in small towns. There are nice covered bridges here and there, and picturesque rural scenery. I'm glad I went there but I don't think it appeals to everyone. There are good ski slopes but I don't do that.
