Im super glad I held off on the Byredo….I suspected that at least half the shadows had a dark/black base which I just don’t like. It’s tricky to work with and ends up muddy very quickly on me. The middle two green shades are very pretty but I actually prefer some of their other color stories. Thanks for taking one for the team though!!❤ the lipstick was gorgeous on you.
I think the Celine full launch is going to be HUGE if this lipstick is any indication of the quality of what's coming. I can't wait. And I've got my eye on getting that new Hermes highlighter. The color is gorgeous. Thanks for the reviews!
I'm disappointed in the Byredo... They needed a proper mid tone purple shade IMO. It would be so much more interesting and prettier. I find the look a bit too somber to wear on fair skin
Thanks a lot for the swatches! ❤ I made a video of duping the vibes of the Byredo palette. This Byredo palette is my current obsession but I don’t get along with its formula. So it’s a chance to revisit my collection and find similar colors. Quite challenging, some shades are quite unique
Hi Lexi, Thank you for your review. The Byredo eyeshadow palette looks absolutely stunning on you! Its uniqueness sets it apart from any other palette I’ve seen. Despite some minor flaws in the formula, I fell in love with it instantly.😍
Thank you so much Lexi for investing in these new items! You are my reference when it comes to luxury beauty so I was looking forward to your review of each of these. The lipstick is fabulous on you. I hope lighter shades come on the scene soon. The Tarte powder in lavender looks great - if there’s no kaolin in the formula, I will definitely get it. As for Byredo, I sure am glad I went with your recommendation a few months ago and purchased the Mineralscapes palette. I was so looking forward to the arrival of the new Hermes highlighter - the promo pics made it look cooler and lighter. Thankfully, the Rose Atacama highlighter is still available, so I will repurchase it since I have panned mine. Thanks again.
Hi Lexi, thank you for reviewing such a wide range of products which btw look gorgeous on you! I wish the olive green Byredo palette was one you would love but understand why it's not your absolute fav...it needs more contrast in shades and finish to give it better versatility. I know how much you love your lipstick so again I wish the Celine didn't have fragrance, but I'm curious to see the other shades when they launch. Thank you for reviewing so much newness and providing such insight into each. ❤❤
I really like the Byredo palette but also disappointed in it. I agree with you 100% on everything you said. It could have used more diversity but the color story is pretty. I did look at Addiction Tokyo singles, wondering how difficult it would be to create the same color story...Deep Emerald 008c and Gypsy Queen look close but still looking for the chartreuse and the two dark shades. Also disappointed in the Hermes highlighter...was hoping it would be lighter and cooler toned but that's okay as I have a couple of highlighters that I enjoy and really don't need another one. The Celine lipstick is stunning. Thank you for the review and the swatches! Have a good day.
Celine lipstick looks much cooler on me - I have very fair skin with yellow undertone. I like it so much and going to buy other colours when they come out.
The tarte setting powder in lavender is my HG for undereyes. it is miles better than the Pat McGrath one. It is available in loads of shades. Absolutely recommend. I apply it under the eyes on a bigger puff, but I bang the excess off first. I bought a second one so i don't run out (shipped to the UK) it is that good
Lexi, thanks for reviewing these products. I’ve been waiting for your review on them. The Hermes highligher is gorgeous! The swatch looks like it might show up rosy gold but it doesn’t look like it on you. I love it but not the price tag 😆. The Byredo palette is just ok I actually got excited when you brought out the Chanel & BB palettes I really like those. The Celine lipstick is a beautiful red on you. I think I’ll wait for more shades. It will be interesting to see what else Celine creates. 😊🌺
Hi Lexi, I can’t wait to see the all makeup line from Celine! The lipstick looks beautiful but I am more curious about the other products because I am not a lipstick lover. It’s good that Hermes came with a nice good quality highlighter but I am still very disappointed about their eye pencils. I bought the eyelash curler and I like it. I don’t like the formula of Byredo eyeshadows (small palettes) and this limited edition one is too dark with almost no contrast. What do you think about their mascaras? Is any of them transfer proof and hold the curl? I curl my lashes and after applying mascara they become straight again. I was happy with my first Hermes mascara but the second one bought it transfer under eyes. Thanks for sharing!🙂
I really like the Byredo mascaras I've tried and want to get their new green one. I don't have an issue with holding curl so I'm not sure how strong they are but I have not had issues with flaking or transfer. That's a shame about the Hermes - I wonder why the second one didn't work out.
Thank you for all the comparisons! Always super helpful 💖Is the new Hermes highlighter fragranced just like their original highlighters? I love the look of it but I really don't like the frangrance they tend to put in.
You look very Old Hollywood in all this. I love the Celine packaging. That red is a bit bright for me, but I'll be curious about other colors. $75 is outrageous. But, if you look at the new Guerlain, those run from $80-90. Not that $75 isn't ridiculous, but that it's in within range of the other ridiculously priced lipsticks out there. I missed the Byredo completely. And I was looking for it! But I think I can dupe it. Thanks for the video.💚
Lexi how do you think the new Hermes shade in Rouge Sienne compares to the limited Chantecaille lip veil in Acacia? The swatches looked similar but maybe the Acacia is more cool and berry? I don't own either yet, since I don't wear these colours a lot I really only need one. Since I'm very fair I would prefer a mid tone not too dark shade
I can’t wait for the line of Celine lipsticks in 2025. 🤩🤩🤩 This red is a little too bright for me for this time of year, but I cannot wait to try the formula in other reds, nudes, etc! The Byredo palette…omg it took all my strength not to immediately order it when I saw it become available. Those are my colors! But ever since the debacle of that awful purple oyster shell palette, I will not buy these Byredo palettes until I see your review!! I’m so glad I did. I really think I’ll pass on this one. Because greens (and purples) are my favorite, I have a lot. I’m very disappointed that the first two shades are so similar. Plus I have those two shades in several formulas by several brands I’m also very disappointed the purple/burgundy doesn’t have more purple to it. Cannot get this palette for shades 3 and 4 alone. I mean it’s tempting because they are my jam, but I just can’t justify it. I might put it in a “if you need to get me an extra gift” list because it would be fun to have, but I can’t put it on the “things I’m dying to have” list. How does the 3 shade here compare to the 4th shade in Metal Boots in the Snow? Are they similar at all? Thank you for another thorough and very helpful review!! 🤗
I'm so disappointed that the one shade is so dry. All of the shades in mineralscapes are great so I don't know why they have such a hard time with consistency with these 5 pan palettes.
I look forward to trying Celine lipsticks when they extend the color range in 2025. The fragrance of the Rouge G lipsticks doesn’t bother me, so guessing I won’t mind this fragrance. Will definitely need to use a lip liner. I’ll pass on the Byredo color story - not my fav color story. It all looks beautiful on you Lexi!
