I just returned the ipad pro 11 that I bought two weeks ago. It is really a nice tablet but at the same time it is useless. I prefer having a laptop.

Absolutely agree. If it were a literal touchscreen version of a laptop screen with the pencil being the primary controller rather than a mouse, i strongly believe it would be groundbreaking. Otherwise it’s relying on just being a portable bright-screen device.

Simple, move the pen from the right/top to the left/bottom. Make the flap on the Magic Keyboard bigger so it can house a pencil and allow the keyboard to be used as a full time case allowing for 180 movement of the keyboard flap itself like the Surface devices.

I wish it were that simple. Every inch inside that chassis is used, so they can't jus move the pencil to the side like that. I agree that th solution will be in the case.

It’s probably a niche wish, but I’m hoping we get lossless audio to AirPods with this update. They’ve shown they can do this with the Vision Pro by putting an H2 chip in there, with Logic and Final Cut on iPad, supporting lossless audio wirelessly makes a ton of sense and would also be a feature they could bring to an AirPods Max refresh at the same time.

Moving the camera is long overdue and I hope Apple makes the change. It's the primary reason I picked up an iPad 10, which I use almost exclusively in landscape mode.

I am due to a new iPad. My battery is horrible, and just noticed other issues. I hope half of what you said is true. I am excited to get a new one. Mine is two generations ago. But, the entire package with iPad, keyboard, and pencil sounds like it will set a person back $1,500 plus depending on the size of the storage. No matter what, I am sure I will be one of the first to get one. Thanks for the updates Patrick.

I have been waiting to upgrade my iPad Pro. Originally, it was rumored that the new iPad Pro with the OLED display was going to be released late last fall. It was disappointing when the date was moved to spring of 2024. I’m practically chomping at the bit! March is just around the corner, and my excitement is overwhelming.

Hoping for an M1 iPad mini, had the 12.9 Pro a few years back, possibly the best screen on a tablet I’ve seen, amazing for home use, but awful for portability. I feel I don’t need a Pro type iPad, I simply don’t need all that power my Pro 11 has. Great video as always, very informative! Thank you.

MagSafe will be nice but with how hot my ipad already gets when charging and doing rendering id bet it’s gonna be a lot worse and heat will degrade the iPad much faster. Will be good for if the usb c port ever breaks you have a backup charging method. Only thing I want from iPad is more ports and a sd card slot. Don’t see it happening but that’s a major reason to upgrade. Or at least an open Smart Connector other brands can use this time cause only being able to charge with Magic Keyboard sucks cause it don’t protect my iPad like I want to. Speed still isn’t an issue on my m1. I’m sure there will be software limitations that the m1 iPads will be said to not be able to do. The hover feature being limited to the m2 is a scam and makes me not want to support them anymore.

I am really excited for the upcoming MacBook Air and of course the beloved iPads in March, the wireless charging and camera upgrades seem sensible but we need a major design change, not a notch of course. Since they couldn’t sell me the Vision Pro correctly because the screen lock was on, so the sale wouldn’t go through, I am not buying the next generation of anything. That speaks from the fact that the device is last a long time to begin with so that’s good for them in a way, but I have no reason to do incremental upgrades that really do nothing for my artwork or me consuming content

The iPad problem has nothing to do with the screen, the chip, or anything related to the hardware. The iPad issue is the baby software that's on par with iPhone software. As long as Apple doesn't integrate MAC OS into the iPad, it doesn't make sense to throw money at the iPad Pro. It's a laptop with iPhone software and a price tag of EUR 3,000!

****question **** Why not incorporate the magnetic area of the charger for the Apple Pencil and transform it into a convenient spot for a Camera dock? This way, you wouldn't sacrifice any valuable screen space. Considering that we primarily utilize the screen for calls, it seems logical. After all, I would pay an additional $100 for a camera dedicated for Calls/ larger screen, hoping to have ample room and a camera accessory that can capture excellent videos.

iPad with M1 or M2 or M3 really needs MacOS to make the expense for hardware you can't fully use, worth it. At this point in time, the hardware is not the problem or the price is too high without software to match the hardware.

iPad Pro needs 2 cameras. Landscape one with Face ID then vertical just the hole punch. Both hidden in the bezel. I can also see Xbox and Nintendo making more of a push to team with Apple to promote gamepass or their games even if they have to pay Apple Tax just because these machines are more capable.

Why do we need face ID to be in portrait? Face ID is so good these days, it doesn't matter where the camera is, it will scan your face.

@@PatrickRambles true. I was saying it would be nice have 2 cameras. Only one with faceID. That way we can still have the option of centered portrait FaceTime calls. With bigger iPads I find it easier to hold them in portrait while on the go.

It is and it isn't. Wacom will run you 100, surface pen about 125. There's lot of tech in there. With that said, I'm sure we are paying an Apple tax.

I really hope but unfortunately doubt apple will give us moving the camera and shrinkage of bezzels and magsafe I really doubt it , Maybe we will get one ☝️ of these changes or they will slap an M3 chip in it and call it a day

This one and the last iteration or the iPad Pro is pointless. Unless that apps or iPadOS take advantage of the hardware, the iPad will remain just an expensive prop.
