Oh my goodness!!! You are a life saver. I just finished my 4th church broadcast Zoom webinar to hundreds of people and I got all kinds of unwanted thumbs up, thumbs down, balloons, etc. in all 4 meetings. I tried disabling every conceivable setting in my Zoom account to no avail. Now, I have disabled the "Mac" Zoom reaction setting, so I will find out in tomorrow's broadcast if I can stop sweating cannonballs.
Oh! thank you for explaining this! it happened to me 3 times during my last stream. What a nightmare 🤦🏻♀I'm having problems also since the last apple update with davinci resolve. 😡
Thanks for covering this. I disabled them. They’re truly a nightmare-waiting-to-happen. They crash Ecamm, Zoom, FaceTime and livestreams and they happen when you least want them.
You just saved my confidence in OBS. Today I was doing a professional job and this issue broke a stream I was working on three times. Apple should be asking permission to access apps for that sort of augmentation. This cost viewers a quality experience. Thank you for explaining.
I'm so glad this was helpful for you! 🎉 Hope that maybe you'll be able to stop by and say hey during one of our live streams someday! (Friday at 10:00am PT) 🙂

Okay, not the worst moment ever but... I'm filming a craft tutorial for my youtube channel and suddenly the thumbs down icon appears on the screen since my thumb was rotated as I was using my scissors. Well, not a great thing to have pop up in a youtube tutorial. Sigh.
Wow, in every app that can use the camera...that's not helpful! Also, pretty major fail only using color (not to mention the two colors that are most common for color blindness) as the indicator. 🤦♀️
