At the time of recording, we did not know yet what type of coaster Holiday Park would be adding. We now know from the director of Plopsa that it will be a near clone of Ride to Happiness!!
Wanting to make a better version doesn't make any sense. It would have been more balanced if each of the two coasters had a benefit by its side, for example: while rth is the most extreme of the two, but it's the one that's most difficult to get on, the holiday park's one is better placed, is more affordable for most people, while being a little less extreme (but not by much). To each their own. Making something better AND more affordable means destroying the other because no one will be interested unless they live near it. I don't see coasters simply as "machines that give you adrenaline". Or at least not for all coasters. This specific ride isn't, for me, just a coaster, it's a work of art, the engineering, the theming, the experience... everything of it is pure art. And I don't think it's a good idea copying the elements that made this ride so special, because it means decreasing its value. That's why I say that something completely different would have worked so much better, because each of the two rides would have kept its uniqueness without damaging the identity of the other (so double advantage). Now, once they saw that the model of rth worked well, they went on the "safe side" and replicated that model, the extreme spinner, because they know it attracts people worldwide. So they make money easily. They chose to make money instead of preserving THAT work of art. It's like they sold it for money. And that's completely nasty and disgusting, especially since that ride is the reason why they're so successful nowadays.
Ommmggg so exciting to see Sarah wearing one of my shirts! 💗🏳️🌈 thank you guys! 🫶🏼 also I’m so STOKED to hear this news and I can’t wait to hear more about this project 😱🔥
he's a friend of mine! i actually requested that he make a variation of his "be gay, ride coasters" shirt for allies like myself and he did! great guy 😄
@@darrenrrawlings no way, same here! Also, because of these three coaster besties, I have a Germany/Belgium parks trip booked with friends! Enjoy yours 👌🏾👌🏾
Tomorrowland is definitely a world-wide brand. Despite it not being present in America after the fiasco of an inaugural year in the states it now is present in Belgium (3 weeks long) Brazil, and the French Alps. It’s the only festival brand to have brick and mortar shopping locations in cities around the world. You cant go to NYC and visit a Coachella store.
So I went the park last year, spent half a day and as it turned out it was a Saturday so the park was open late and what I can tell you is the main plaza was playing music and it felt like a music concert/festival at the park on that Saturday night. I think based off what I saw, the Tomorrowland theme would fit right in.
heck yeah! holiday park is my homepark, an extreme spinnier would be absolutely mindblowing, imagine the one-two punch of GeForce and something like ride to happiness..... that seems world class contender to me!
Omg we just had our first ride? What is that lol!! Straight back on for reride. We are really loving Mack coasters right now, especially after doing Voltron last week.
Thanks for talking about my home park and its future. Surprisingly this summer a new area will open. The park will talk about it this saturday on the season opening.
I dont think just announcing the theming really means anything-so this could still be ANY kind of coaster. That said, Time Traveller is in my top 3, and if I ever can afford a big international trip, Ride to Happiness is EASILY one of my biggest bucket list rides, so yes please. The world needs more Extreme Spinners, steampunk themed or not!
The Plopsa director Carl Lenaerts just announced that it will be a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster and that it is going to be "an approximate replica" of the original coaster...whatever that might be.
I feel like a Tomorrowland themed Stryker from Mack would be very very nice, it would be more compact than an extreme spinner and possibly more intense
According to the homepage, it will be a major attraction that whirls you through the area. "Let yourself be whirled through the new themed area in a spectacular big attraction and enjoy the unique Tomorrowland atmosphere at Holiday Park". However, I have a feeling that it won't be an Xtreme Spinner from Mack. But I could well imagine a large custom layout of an S&S Axis coaster here.
I am always surprised when people call Ride to Happiness intense or extreme. This is a fairly pleasant and smooth ride. Unlike Anubis or other more family-oriented coasters I could probably ride it all day long without issue.
I've heard people call it the most intense coaster in the world its probably not even as intense as time traveler (at least watching the POV I haven't been on it yet)
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od for sure not. It pulls -2.2 G. Its pretty intense. They were scared it would valley so they increased the launch speed. Technically its illegal to have more than -2g.
They will get a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster, but with a lifthill and a layout that is focused more on curves and speed than inversions. That way they get a unique coaster of a type they know the audience loves.
coaster studios, I was at universal on Wednesday March 20th, were you there? I saw someone of to the side that looked JUST liked you and I’m just curious
This would be awesome. I missed Holiday Park which was disappointing as GeForce is already pretty up there. But I’d go for this new ride alone. R2H is my 2nd favorite coaster.
the thing about this partnership is starting in like year.... 4 or 5 of Tomorrowlands they started with these very elaborate themes for the years festival ride to happiness is based off of the 10 year anniversy theme the key to happiness they just take and modify another years theme would love to see them make The Secret Kingdom of Melodia., or Amicorum Spectaculum would make for amazing themed lands. and the pull aspect like yall said people here know about tomorrowland it is prolly the most well known and most sought after ticket in the dance music community
Its called the chinese rice game. You throw enough rice at the wall and sooner or later you find something that sticks. Then you copy that recipe. I think your hunch definitely has merit. But hey they pulled a wild mouse out right? So maybe they are getting a Wild Moose?
Since mack has confirmed to build a new xtreme spinner and holiday park goes for the exact same theme as RtH with the description that indicates the new attraction for 2026 will have spinning cars (at least what i read out from the article) safe to say its gonna be an xtreme spinner. And wasnt there also showing a concept art of this ride in a new build area in one of their parks from a video interview with the ceo? So yeah, a lot speaks for it
I dont really want to bury the idea of it being an S&S Axis, there is still a small chance. Them saying its being something unique and not seen before sets the bar pretty high
isn't tomorowland like the second biggest music festival in the world? and don't think they will do another xtreme spinner, think it ill be something rare in europe and probably non existance in germany, like an rmc (they miss a woodie) or sns axis.
Unfortunately Mack does not supply Holiday Park or Tripsdrill due to competition with Europa Park so it will not be an Extreme Spinner! 😭 We think it will probably be a Gerstlauer, maybe the invert model as this will be different enough from the other local parks.
@@SwissMaps455 dude the comment said he confirmed Holiday Park would NOT get an Xtreme Spinner, please put your reading glasses on before you cite something.
Can someone tell me if it's allowed to have a body/ hand mounted action cam at energylandia. I have read their terms and conditions, but it is a bit unclear.
Of course I'm not complaining about such a world class coaster like an extreme spinning coaster coming to a park reasonably close to me but I don't think that's the best option for the park, I mean, they already have 2 thrill coasters and only 1 family / kiddie coaster which isn't that special. I think they would benefit more from a good quality family coaster, maybe something like a Vekoma family invert or a Mack water coaster
I believe it was somewhere already confirmed it would not be the same coaster type as Ride to Happiness but something similar. Spinning, but not the same ride type. My (wild) guess? This will be an S&S Axis Coaster…
I can see why they want to continue the colaboration with Tomorrowland, but seems a little weird to me to have the same kind of coaster themed to the same festival in a park of the same chain. And there's nothing there I can take as a hint of a new extreme spinning coaster :(
Just saying, if EDM festivals are getting coasters, one of the Florida parks needs to capitalize on that and make a ride for the Ultra Music Festival in Miami
In 2022 Plopsa-CEO Steve Van den Kerkhof, confirmed the ride as ''Ride To happiness 2.0'' No ride type was mentioned, but the concept art behind him clearly shows a Mack extreme spinner. I think it's save to say it will be a Mack.@@crayfishtelevision2894

I think that's having the same theme and the same model, in the same group of parks (plopsa group), it's very very stupid. Like you're taking away the uniqueness of the coaster that made plopsaland famous, which is in the same group and it's wayy more childish and hidden than holiday park which already has expedition GeForce, skyscreamer and other rides for adults, and it's also in the center of Europe so it's much easier for people to reach it. I think that with this idea the plopsa group could damage themselves because in a few years plopsaland could be completely abandoned by enthusiasts. That's my idea, i know it's unpopular but yeah
@@Tomtycoon i know, and i don't like it. I don't want the uniqueness of ride to happiness to be cancelled, same theme and almost same layout (as it would seem to be). I'm biased cause this ride means a lot for me and it's not nice seeing it copied and pasted
I just don't see Mack building an Extreme Spinner an hour down the road from their own park that would potentially reduce their footfall. If Ride to Happiness was any other manufacturer, I'd absolutely assume this to be similar, but to me, an Intamin or Vekoma seems far more likely
They’re not about to turn down a $17million commission because they have a park in the same country that no GP knows the correlation of.. that would make for ridiculous business logic.
@@AfadMier If you think Europa Park aren't worried about Holiday Park as competition, check out the Europa season pass. 40% off all Plopsa parks... except Holiday Park! Someone visiting Holiday Park to ride this, by definition isn't at Europa Park.
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od i know but they also have one kids coaster and nothing to Bridge the gap between that ans sky scream i think for a company lije plopsa it is way more intrersting to give the targeted familys a more medium coaster
