New Madam Glam Chrome Gel Paints

Easiest way to open these tough pots is to take a pointy utility knife and trace closely to the edge around the inside of the pot. Then just peel off the foil (leaving the foil sealed on the top of the edges). It makes for a very clean looking opening and no bits of torn foil sticking up. Much faster, too.

I hate to sound like the party pooper but I do have a warning. I bought 2 silver chrome paint gels from MG when they first came out. After working with them I gave them to a well known tech in my area. She wrote to me complaining of the exact issues I'll outline here. There are two major problems with it (and their other paint gels) and after more research I learned that other nail techs had the same issues that I had. MG, when I contacted them about it refused to believe if was their product and also refused a refund when I sent them photos and even video of the issue (also proving that I was using expensive professional nail lamps also). Keep in mind that their products are not cheap. The main issue with the chrome is that A) It doesn't cure properly. Unless you're doing the most minute details with no thickness whatsoever, you can actually crease it with a tool easily after the full cure, even after a 2 minute cure in say, a $350 Kiera Sky lamp which I own. B) If you topcoat it dulls (like all of these gel "chromes."). If you don't topcoat, it dulls when you wash your hands, regardless that all of their paint gels are apparently no wipe. As to their other paint gels they simply don't cure. Same issue as with the chrome. Forget black. After 3 minutes in KS lamp, it was easily creased. So, I'm done with Madame Glam and although these colors, particularly gold, look lovely, I would never trust using them on a client. I hope you enjoy them, but my experience has been terrible. I'll stick with messy but effective chrome powders!
