New Magic Kingdom Welcome Show - Let The Magic Begin 

This was the best time that my 10-year-old daughter and I ever had together! We both cried tears of joy! Thank you Disney!

I will miss the train full of characters, but it is cool how you can explore main street a little before the park opens, even if you don't have an early reservation. Thank you for sharing!

1st world problems when we argue about the old/new opening shows of a theme park. I'm just blessed to be living in America and able to bring my family to WDW anytime I want since we are finally able to purchase AP passes.

Nice to see some Fairy Godmother love after she got booted from the old Cinderella's Wish castle lighting at Christmas (which of course got immediately replaced by Frozen).

I see a lot of people complaining about the old show in the comments but let me tell you I saw this yesterday and I cried because I was so happy to be at Disney

The Opening Show with Casey Jr. was the best part of my day going to the Magic Kingdom. Year after year I enjoyed this show. I love progress but some things should be left to tradition. This was a tear jerker, so special! I am all fine with change, as long as it's a change upward. This is not an upgrade. Someone mentioned the "charm" is gone and it is. No family to greet you, come on Disney! Oh well, I will see it in person in a couple of months. Very sad.

I understand why the show has changed and why it's a good idea. The only thing is this show was just so slow placed and seemed to be lacking the energy of the station show. If they maybe changed it up to get you excited for the day like the station show did I would see no problem with it.

Lol the part when Mickey asked if your excited I would have yelled grabbed any Disney merchandise and yelled “IM READYYY”

The magic should begin at the train station. The characters arriving on the train with a "smoky stack" lol always warmed my heart and guaranteed a few tears. This is hopelessly boring.

It's a cute show, it's just not the same without the train.

So they're no longer doing the train of characters? -- Well, this show doesn't look especially exciting... but I do like the fact that Mickey's voice has improved more and more over time, and sounds much like Wayne Allwine's Mickey.

It's too bad. I loved the train. Really made it feel grand-opening-ey. And this is really cheesy. Ah well. The wheels of progress keep turning. Not the train's.

This pales in comparison to the old show. The singers and dancers, especially when they go into "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah!" And of course the characters arriving on the train, and the family that gets to open the park. Just so magical and cool. This? This is a snore. And where the heck were Donald and Goofy???

Thanks for sharing. Hadn't seen the new show yet. Seems like a downgrade for sure. I get why they did it for crowd control and merchandising purposes. But something special about not being let into the park until AFTER the welcome show.

1:40 meeting all the princesses plus the princes and the step sisters was hecking awesome! But it was sad that the train station show was retired. What happened to it those two welcome shows? It’s been 5 in a half years.

Another castle show is just lame. There was something magical watching Mickey and all of his friends come steaming on by riding the train.

why not keep the OG welcoming show and have this as an optional ceremony later on in the morning? This doesn't feel nearly as grand or official and the lack of catchy tunes bums me out big time. I sang the welcome song for the next 3 months in the shower because it was catchy. legitimately. The usage of familiar Disney melodies was cool, the gathering of characters and usage of Mickey even moreso (Props to that voice actor, really channelling Wayne) but I'm not behind this welcoming show over the old one whatsoever. I hope this is temporary.

It's nice and all....but it just doesn't have the same charm to it as the old one...

This is so depressing. Little by little the things we cherish about Disney get taken away. Still not over Spectro Magic and now this. I'm dreading the day someone decides to end Wishes Fireworks. We better enjoy things while they last because the way things are going we can blink and something else is gone.

It really looked boring from the beginning to the end. I much preferred the original train station opening. My wife and I saw it for the first time 2 years ago and she almost burst into tears she loved it so much. Man what a boring start to a great park now. People aren't going to pay attention to it they'll bypass it and go straight to the rides and eating.

The Magic Kingdom needs to do something similar with introducing all of the Marvel heroes.

Very disappointing. I am glad we got to see the train station show in 2015. It was so much more exciting and exhilarating. This one is very bland. And after the build up at the train station, the castle reveal was a huge thrill.

Show lacks energy and feels very rushed. Intro > Mickey > Characters > Good Morning > Open (all in 3:30).

it's kind of stupid that they have it at the castle and not at the entrance to magic kingdom. it doesn't seem like a grand opening just a show. Oh well its not like they're tearing down. the park. That would be terrible xD. Also, where is goofy and Donald and daisy and pretty much all of the all charactrrs
