Advantages and disadvantages are easily made up for when someone makes a bad decision. Good micro and macro don't matter if a person makes wrong decisions like misreading builds/strats and getting all-in'd, or if they are mispositioning armies (operational positioning, I don't mean in-fight kiting micro and whatnot). Having a K:D, resource, and/or other lead doesn't matter if units are not in the right spot at the right time.

I agree that Pig (with Rotti at a nice second) gives the best technical commentary when it comes to individual casting channels. I watch the other guys' channels because they have matches I want to see, but unlike Pig, they don't bust out the real technical knowledge until they're at an offline even for some reason.
