I love the concept, but I didn't expect it to be quite that expensive. So it really needs to sound amazing to be a serious consideration in that price range.
That's quite the polarizing design for 3.5k and 5.5k usd! Devialet Phantom looks and is plastic and this cloth covered. High end is looking pretty cheap.
Impressive design. Reminiscent of B&O’s single speaker products. I have to wonder how it sounds compared to the Naim Muso2 which looks as nice and costs 1/3 to 1/5th of the price and is more furniture friendly.
Despite the HDMI eARC port, it would look odd and out of place next to a TV so I don't think it's meant to replace a soundbar. It seems to be going after the Bang Olufsen Beosound A9 market.
i can already picture this speaker in the middle of the living room , on it's back , pointing up there's no way to create a movie space or concert space with just 1 speaker or there needs to be some sort of separation inside the speaker that can be manipulated to throw the sound in different directions i have my 2 subwoofered speakers standing right behind my head , spaced apart and both pointing straight so as not to damage my hearing ... i throw on a little spacing with some software and Dolby Atmos from windows store , sounds descent and sounds seem to come from where they need to come from , just with two speakers and some software for music i can throw on a little reverb without the spacing ( to get the punch back in the music ) and fill up the room without it being too loud ... i'm no audiophile , but i like a little punch in my speakers , using Edifier R2750dB with just a tiny usb amp , Zen Dac V2 and some logitec gaming X headset Atmos also works with bluetooth Edifier W800BT plus , which gives them a serious boost , they sound amazing for me , cost less then 40 bucks while my Sennheiser 770 Pro and 990 Pro just sit in their respective case , this cheap piece of technology sounds better then the more expensive ones
