NEW Marsblade R1 Inserts! 

Hey Simon! Thank you for your support! Yeah I've been going back n forth between the 2 skates for a while now and so far I honestly like both of them. If you were goalie, and if you weren't coming from ice as a player (used to the rocker) I'd say stick with standards to save money and the weight of the marsblades. I love the Marsblades but I can def live without them, I only will continue to use them cause of my skating style (I'm coming from ice). Hope this helps!

Definitely, what inserts do you have that feel the similar to ice?

I’m using the inserts that were in the chassis out of the box. Off the top of my head I’m not sure which ones. I’m not at home at the moment.

Yea, it's the same idea of how the R1s come with the 4 different inserts in the kit, this is just adding 2 more to the collection. Can only be used on marsblades R1 frames cause of the design.

The "stiff toe" are the new inserts: H5-TF and H10-TF. Those inserts have zero rocker at the toe, only at the heel.

Yea they’re going to be brand new, and not sold in the R1 kits I believe. Completely separate. Coast to Coast hockey shop is selling them, you’ll see it under their marsblade section!

If you're comparing the rocker feel to the O1s, then the R1s will definitely feel more stiff. Instead of tightening the middle screw, try loosening a little bit, that could help add more rocker. As for the new inserts, they're going to feel stiffer than the H5-T8 rocker.

@TonyHockey oh really that sucks then. Forget it. I like my R1's but really don't feel any rocker at all unless you do loosen the screw a but honestly shouldn't have to loosen it up. But oh wells.
