We are New Marshall Plan (#NMP), a #dutch #indie #band from #utrecht, crafting 80's/90's inspired #pop / #rock songs that are unlike anything you've heard before!
'The End' is the beginning (pun intended) of the release cycle of our 2007 Album, Bermuda. We self-recorded this album but never released it online (this was sort of before RU-vid and Spotify truly existed!). After the success of our debut Album Escalate, we made a bold decision: 'why not share our old stuff too'?
However, when we listened to it again, the quality was below the release standard we have now. As such, we have redone most vocals, added some synths and, most importantly, let the engineer who recorded and mixed our Escalate album remix all tracks.
Though the music we made in 2007 is different than now (more rock, less synthpop), we are still happy we can start sharing it with the world!
The song's about feeling beat down by life, pretending everything's fine, and wanting to get back to the good old days.
It's like saying, "Adulting sucks, let's rewind to when we weren't faking it."
