NEW Maybelline Superstay Active Wear 30H Foundation Review | Is it as good as the old one???

The Maybelline Superstay Foundation has been updated and I'm not happy Jan 😭 Stay tuned to hear my thoughts on the new release and a review after testing and wearing the foundation for a week. Let me know your thoughts below, are you as disappointed as I am or are you excited to try this new formula?
👉🏻Regarding the shade range, although I am glad to see that they have extended the fair shades I noticed after I filmed this and looked into the shades for screen grabs, that the deeper end of the scale is very disappointing. The 24 Hour Superstay Foundation only had 14 shades available in the entire range, so also a disappointing one that I didn’t realise until now. After looking at all the Maybelline foundations the shade ranges are not very inclusive apart from the Fit Me Foundation which has 40 shades.

Yes I was devastated when the discounted this foundation! I bought one more bottle when it was on clearance, I haven’t tried the new one yet. Ps. Love that lip combo!

Thanks for making this! My ride or die was the 24 hour and now they made this new one that I hate! 😭😭 currently searching the ends of the earth for an alternative because I cannot deal with this new formula.

After lots of research.. I’m considering trying the Nars Soft Matte but it’s so pricey! And looking into the Physician’s Formula Butter believe it… if you or anyone on here finds a solid dupe let me know 😭

I just tried Nars Soft Matte, and it’s pretty nice! Very full coverage. Not as good as my Superstay, but not bad at all.

I just found this foundation in 110 on iherb so came looking for reviews before buying. Thank you for your honesty and saving me $20 😅 Pale shades in Australia suuuuck! I buy Korean base makeup, the palest shade is almost always pink toned but I have olive undertones so add in green corrector to make them match me. You might find success with K beauty foundations and bb creams in shade 13 💋✌🏻

Your reaction is how I feel with every Maybelline foundation. I am yet to find any Maybelline foundation that I actually like. I've learned that it's a brand that doesn't work for me.

I agree, the old version (24-hour) was so much better. Please leave a comment on Maybelline's website for the new 30H foundation. They need to know they messed up by changing the old formula.

I might give this a go, when it's on a sale of some sort, I had bad luck with the original one, I have oily skin and the original would wear off my skin in under 30 minutes and oxidize so badly on my skin. I actually like the loreal true match, better, it lasts hours on my skin

I know its not the same consistency, but the Catrice True Skin foundation is soo good, good coverage and looks nice on the skin.

You need to check out the pretty vulgar cool af foundation. It's on sale for half price at Sephora and is AMAZING! Great in humid/hot weather and is water based. About $24.00 so just a little over drugstore. It's great for combo/oily skin and has a great staying power.

It really is so underrated and so incredibly good. Especially when there is warmer or humid weather. It's a very good full coverage, I would say, but not cakey foundation. I got another friend to buy it as she was having issues with redness and blemishes as well. Hope you have a great weekend. 😁😁 Oh and I just did my very first RU-vid upload from my hospital bed on my phone. Not that great but it's a start haha.

Before I even continue watching the video, let me just say we're equally as disappointed 🥲 I used to love it, and the new one is just not on the same level. Way too dry, you need to work in sections or it will dry on you and look ... bad. *So* bad. Mixing it with a moisturizer kind of helps, but you still need to work fast. Thank goodness I still have a brand new bottle for now!!

Nooooo!! 😭 you recommended the super stay mixed with the nyx can’t stop to me a few months ago and it was so hard to get cause they were not making the original anymore and I’ve literally only been using it a couple of months and was so happy with it and now they have gone and ruined it! It’s been out of years but the moment I start using it they discontinue it and make a new crappy formula.. Go figure.. 🥺 Can you test it with mixing it with the nyx can’t stop won’t stop and let us know how it goes?

@@TanikaJaun yay! Thanks so much ♥️ if it doesn’t work out and you do find a replacement for it to mix with nyx please update us as well. They just love making it hard for us pale girls.. it’s hard enough to find a correct shade match in general let alone in a good formula that is full coverage and lasts all day. And I don’t know what it is about Australia but we get ripped off so bad they never sell all the shades in the shade range here!! And when I do find a good formula my perfect match is always one I can’t get! 😓😤 it’s so frustrating.. if you are going to release a new product then sell the whole shade range not just a quarter of it.

I've been using the original formula for like 5 years already, now I tried the 30H foundation. So disappointed because I just applied it, it diesnt blend well, its patchy, its drying!!!! 😭 I hate it now.. I tried it ans went out its cakey!!!

Through your review, this foundation sounds like a Maybelline version of L'Oreal infallible foundation to me 😅. I just bought the superstay 24 hours version while it's still available online. Therefore, there is no reason for me to try out the 30 hours version🤣

They just couldn’t leave it the fuck alone, they should have interfered with the dream satin one but noo. Also that other maybelline £11 one in the squirty tube fkn stinks, horrible suncream smell and the coverage is light/medium. Hopefully boots still keeps the 24hr but doubt it

Finally someone who shows the TRUE results of this horrible foundation 😍 I'm fed up with all these RU-vidrs who pretend this foundation is amazing (while the "apparently" gorgeousness only comes from the ringlight which is too bright) 🤬 This product is just trash : it flash dries upon contact with the skin which makes it unblendable, is patchy, blotchy, instantly and overly cakey, looks terribly dry (think parched mummy), oxidizes a LOT with skin oils, pools and settles into every pore and crevice (even those I didn't know I had) and transfers onto everything 🤢

@@TanikaJaun Yes, the original was way smoother and had much more coverage. I suspected the new one would be trash even before buying it, because it has the same ingredient list (except for a few minor tweaks) as L'Oreal Pro-Matte foundation and NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation (both of them give me that mummified cakey look) 🤣
